In collaboration with PATRIA National Highschool headed by Mr. Edgar Estoya, Principal, the Local Youth Development Office Mr. Mike Mariñas , Pandan Primary Care Facility headed by Dr. Jezreel Juanitez represented by NDP Gilly Alvarez, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office headed by Ma'am Mary Ann Samulde represented by Sir Daryl Mabugat, Adolescent Health Awareness campaign/ Healthy Young Ones was conducted to PNHS Grade 8 Students last November 21, 2024.

This campaign includes awareness on different developmental changes and the danger of risk taking behaviors happening during adolescence; sexual and reproductive health, gender roles; the negative impact on teens' emotional, mental, physical well- being, and country's economy when they engage in early sexual activity and teenage pregnancy; and the services offered at Pandan Adolescent -Friendly Health Facility.

This awareness campaign is necessary to lead our TEENS to be informed, to be productive and live healthy lives.

Para sa Kabataan Ng Pandan! 👩👦

Pandan Primary Care Facility is now accredited as 𝘼𝙙𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩- 𝙁𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙡𝙮 𝙁𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 - 𝙇𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡 𝙄𝙄 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨 by the Department of Health Center for Health Development - Western Visayas.

This was not achieved without the support and efforts of the former Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Judy Estoperez, Nurse Gilly Alvarez who has given all her heart, hardwork and dedication as our Adolescent Health and Development Program Focal person; also the efforts and contributions of the Adolescent Health Program Technical Working group of Pandan namely the Pandan MSWDO, LYDO, SKMF, DepED, Popcom and MPS as our partner agencies in the implementation of the program; and of course the active cooperation of RHU staff. 💪👏👏👏

As teens move from one phase of their life to the next, their minds undergo tremendous change. For some, this transitional phase may include feelings of depression, anxiety and low self-esteem. When stressors are added such as the anticipation of matric results, they may be tempted to use alcohol and other substances as a crutch to deal with these feelings. Let’s support our teens to make better choices for their futures.
