With this knowledge, it is expected that health programs will be supported in advancing health initiatives in favor of the Argaoanons. Furthermore, it aims to:
a) promote welfare to all constituents of Argao especially genuine indigent clients who may or may not have access to health services. b) Provide understanding of the topographic distribution and accessibility of the health facilities

and services with due consideration of the geographic landscape of Argao. b) Help address the lingering problem of structural handicap (e.g. lack of facilities/logistics)
c) Illicit a greater participation from relevant agencies and other concerned government and private authorities to support and/or augment health-oriented initiatives. d) create awareness of various health services and increase health-seeking behavior from clients.

In collaboration with PBSP, the Rural Health Unit of Argao is offering FREE Chest X-RAY to support the early detection and prevention of lung diseases.

As of August 2, 2025, our Municipality has reported 210 confirmed dengue cases- a clear reminder that dengue remains a serious public health concern.

Now more than ever, let’s strengthen our collective action. Our Barangay Officials, RHU staff, Health Workers, and School Personnel are working tirelessly, leading Search and Destroy operations to eliminate mosquito breeding sites and stop the spread of the disease.

Again, we urge everyone to stay vigilant, united, and proactive in protecting our homes, families, and communities.

Together, we can beat dengue.

"We’re not just making moves, we’re setting the pace. Another milestone unlocked, and this is just the beginning."

On July 17, 2025, the Municipality of Argao was honored with a prestigious Special Citation for Lifelong Wellness Initiatives in recognition of its outstanding Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus Prevention and Control Program. The award was presented during the Program Implementation Review of Non-Communicable Diseases Programs held at Summit Galleria, Cebu.

At the very core of this achievement is the transformative work of the Argao HYPE DM Club and its grassroots-driven Purok Task Force, made possible through the steadfast support and visionary leadership of the Local Government Unit of Argao and its Rural Health Unit. This dynamic, community-based initiative empowers local leaders and volunteers to bring vital health services directly to the people, delivering focused education, routine screenings, and proactive interventions right at the purok level within the barangay.

By turning awareness into sustained action, the HYPE DM Club and its Purok Task Force have played a crucial role in making disease prevention not only accessible and consistent, but deeply rooted in, and genuinely owned by the community.

Here’s to more wins, greater impact, and a future fueled by wellness. Let’s go, Argao!

What a blast at the 51st Nutrition Month Culminating Activity here in the vibrant Municipality of Argao! The celebration kicked off with a colorful NutriFloat Parade featuring the creativity of all 6 clusters (45 barangays!) and the participation of other key stakeholders PNP, BFP, MAO, DILG, and MSWD. 👏🚓🔥🌾

After the floats, the fun kept going with a formal program, action-packed Nutrigames, and a sizzling Cooking Contest that showcased local talent and nutrition advocacy at its finest!

📣 The Local Government Unit of Argao strengthens its commitment to nutrition!

In partnership with the Municipal Nutrition Council and the Rural Health Unit, LGU Argao officially rolls out the 60-Day Municipal Targeted Supplementary Feeding Program (MTSFP)—a strategic intervention aimed at improving the nutritional status of identified undernourished children in the municipality.

This program reflects the LGU’s unwavering support in addressing malnutrition through sustained, evidence-based nutrition actions aligned with the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN).

Attention Argaonons❗️

As of July 20, 2025, a total of 200 confirmed dengue cases have been reported in our Municipality. This alarming number serves as a continued reminder that dengue remains a serious public health threat that requires our collective action.

Once again ,we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to intensifying the fight against dengue. Our Barangay Officials, RHU health staff, Barangay Health Workers, and School Personnel have remained proactive and dedicated, leading the Search and Destroy operations across various barangays to eliminate mosquito breeding sites and curb the spread of the disease.

In addition, we have officially launched the initial assessment of barangays to identify and document best practices in dengue prevention. This important initiative seeks to recognize exemplary community efforts, encourage the adoption of successful strategies, and strengthen our unified front against dengue.

Let us all continue to be vigilant, united, and proactive in safeguarding our homes and communities.
