“Ensuring safe water is not just a responsibility, it is a lasting promise to every household in the community.”

On August 10, 2025, the Water Service Providers of Argao reaffirmed their commitment to water safety by conducting an on-site return demonstration at one of the municipality’s key water source locations. They were joined by Dr. Hayce F. Ramos, Municipal Health officer of Argao RHU I, EOHMASS Engineer-Engr. Grace Devon Gevera, as well as the RHU sanitary inspectors and support personnel.

This hands-on activity served as a practical refresher, strengthening technical competencies in water safety and management.

"A historic FIRST for Central Visayas”

The Municipality of Argao leads the way as the first Local Government Unit (LGU) in the region to conduct a barangay-level Water Safety Planning Writeshop. This pioneering initiative, paired with an orientation on water disinfection, reflects Argao's strong commitment to safe, sustainable, and resilient water services for every Argawanons.

This milestone was made possible through the united efforts of the Local Government Unit of Argao, Rural Health Unit, Environmental and Occupational Health, Medicine Access Services Section ( EOHMASS ) and the local Water Service Providers of Argao, all working together to ensure safer and more sustainable water systems for the community.

The 3-day Water Safety Planning (WSP) Writeshop, led by the official spokeperson of this remarkable event, Engr. Grace Devon Gevera of EOHMASS, emphasized the critical importance of risk assessment, prevention, and ongoing monitoring in delivering safe drinking water. It equipped local providers with the tools to develop and implement Water Safety Plans, securing clean and reliable water for all communities.

“Safe Water Matters, Protect It Every Day.”
