ANNOUNCEMENT: July 23, 2025 (Wednesday)

Upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council relative to the continuous heavy rainfall brought about by Southwest Monsoon, all classes will be delivered online.

Internship students are advised to coordinate with their respective clinical coordinators for specific guidance.

If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your program heads or coordinators.

Please be guided accordingly.

On April 26, 2024, at Panaad Park and Stadium, a team of RCI-PTC April interns, including Kyle Treyes, Jan Romar Balboa, and Christopher Espolong, accompanied by Physiotherapist Miss Jenelle Palmer and Sir Augustine Rey “Gus” Rivas, convened to cover the Men’s Football Category Battle for Thirds match between CADIZ FC and BAGO FC, as well as the FINALS match between STI-WNU FC and SAN CARLOS CITY NEGROS FC. Throughout the event, they diligently observed and actively participated in the ex*****on of pre-game, during-game, and post-game strategies, all geared toward optimizing player performance and well-being. This immersive experience provided them with invaluable insights into the rigorous demands and protocols inherent in effective sports management.

The RCI - PTC April interns, John Andre Jamero, Ezra Nabos, and Kyle Treyes, along with Physical Therapists Sir Dominic Garrucho and Sir Augustine Rey “Gus” Rivas, participated in the SEMI-FINALS of the UNDER 19 GOVERNOR’S CUP on April 25, 2024, at Panaad Park and Stadium. Organized by the Negros Occidental Regional Football Association (NORFA) in collaboration with the Abanse Negrense Sports Program of the Provincial Government, the event provided an opportunity for community engagement and youth development through sports.

Physical Therapy is essential in football for maintaining players’ physical well-being, preventing injuries, and aiding in recovery. Physical Therapists assess and treat injuries, implement rehabilitation programs, and educate players on injury prevention and proper training techniques. Their expertise ensures players remain in optimal condition, contributing to both individual performance and the overall sustainability of the sport.
