Ang Leptospirosis isa ka masakit nga ginahalinan sang ihi sang sapat (ilo ukon ilaga) nga nagatiner sa baha.

Ginakaptan ini sang tawo paagi sa:
• Pagtampisaw ukon paglakat sa baha nga may pilas sa panit
• Paglangoy sa baha
• Pag-inum ukon pagsulod sang tubig baha sa baba, mata, ukon ilong

Proteksyon gamit ang Doxycycline (100mg/capsule):
• LOW RISK: Mag-inum 2 ka kapsula sulod 24-72 ka oras matapos magsulod sa baha – isa lang ka adlaw
• MODERATE RISK: Mag-inum 2 ka kapsula kada semana kon 3-5 ka adlaw nagsulod sa baha
• HIGH RISK: Mag-inum 2 ka kapsula kada semana basta sige-sige ka nagsulod sa baha asta matapos ang exposure

Indi pwede ang Doxycycline para sa:
• Nagabusong
• Nagapadede
• Ubos 8 ka tuig
