It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Dr. Pedro A. Hinolan Jr., the patriarch of PHJR Incorporated and the father of our CEO/President, Dr. Gabriel Hinolan. He was a remarkable man whose legacy will undoubtedly continue through the many lives he touched. May the soul of Dr. Pedro find peace, and may the family find comfort in the knowledge that he was loved and respected by many.

Please be vigilant with the symptoms of MPox. Our medical workforce is ready to serve, with available daily check-up.

BACOLOD CITY RECORDS FIRST CONFIRMED MPOX CASE

The Bacolod City Health Office (CHO) confirms the first case of MPox (Monkeypox) in Bacolod City.

The patient is in stable condition and is currently receiving proper medical care and monitoring at a designated health facility. The CHO, in close coordination with the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH), has activated its protocols to manage the situation and ensure continued public safety.

In consultation with health experts and partner agencies, the following information is being shared to guide and inform the public:
• MPox transmission has now been identified locally, and the CHO continues to closely monitor developments to help limit further spread.
• Certain individuals — such as those who are immunocompromised, including pregnant women, persons with diabetes, senior citizens, children, malnourished individuals, patients undergoing chemotherapy, and those with chronic illnesses — may have a higher vulnerability to infections in general, including MPox.
• Pregnant women who may contract MPox are advised to consult healthcare providers to ensure appropriate monitoring for both mother and child. Delivery in hospital settings remains the safest option.
• At present, there is no specific antiviral treatment for MPox available locally. Supportive care and management of symptoms remain effective.
• Once fully recovered — when all lesions have healed and scabs have cleared — patients may safely return to work, school, or their usual activities.
• The Bacolod City Government strongly discourages any form of discrimination toward patients or their families. Public understanding, compassion, and support are vital in ensuring full recovery, both physically and emotionally.

The City Government assures the public that all necessary measures are in place, and coordination with national health authorities is ongoing to manage the situation effectively.
