Happy to be part of this study but at the same time a bit worried about the results.
Early Onset Colorectal Cancer incidence and mortality are expected to increase by approximately 20% from 2022 to 2050. Low Human Development Index countries, Eastern Africa, Western Africa, and Middle Africa are projected to have more than double the number of cases and deaths (119.4% to 152.4% and 119.9% to 153.2%).
Let us please have our families, friends, and ourselves screened! Colonoscopy is recommended to start at 45 years old. 🙏

Thankful to be part of this historic landmark in the City of Bacolod!
Last July 15, 2025, we unveiled and blessed the BELL OF HOPE and the Expanded Infusion Room of the MetroBacolod Hospital and Medical Center (MBHMC).
Persons with cancer traditionally ring a bell at the conclusion of their cancer treatment. Ringing the bell is an emotional and triumphant celebration of all the patient has accomplished - conquering fear, persevering through uncertainty, enduring adversity and hardship, and hanging on to hope with strength and a strong will to live.
When patients ring the bell at the MBHMC, they celebrate this tremendous milestone with the knowledge that they have their cancer care team to see them through their whole treatment journey and survivorship.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible. 🙏
To our patients, we welcome you to invite your family and friends to ring the bell with you at the conclusion of your treatment! Know that the whole healthcare team celebrates every milestone with you! 🩵

So happy to be reunited with my patient who I first saw at UP-PGH in 2019, but was unfortunately unable to continue treatment because of the pandemic.
Six years later, here we are as if nothing has happened with her cancer in control. When I first saw her in PGH, it was also the same daughter who accompanied her. Indeed, family support plays a critical role in every patient's cancer care journey. 🩵
This is another testament that with good treatment compliance, cancer is treatable or at least controllable providing our patients with good quality of life and survival. 🙏🩵🥰

Cancer, even in its advanced and metastatic stage (Stage IV) is controllable! In certain group of patients, even stage IV cancer is controllable when given the standard of care! 🩵

Indeed, science has really triumphed over cancer! Thank You Lord for guiding all oncologists in caring for our patients and treating their disease. The treatment journey for patients with cancer is full of challenges, but we should always let our faith be stronger than our fears!
For patients who have cancer or individuals with a high risk of cancer due to family history, pleaee consult your friendly Oncologist!
The earlier we are able to identify and treat, the better the outcomes and the higher the chance for cure!
Always remember that cancer is not a death sentence. There is always HOPE! 🙏🩵🎗🇵🇭🫂
