(From Doc Bev's husband)
Happy Father here because of HER.
Seeing them malnourished and skinny, she feeds several stray cats around the subdivision, often using cat food reserved only for their in-house pets. The cats have no difficulty recognizing her voice when called; most of them have assigned names she coined, such as Liam, Maritess, and Cassandra. She also developed the habit of talking to them.
Inside the house, it’s exactly the same with our own pets. But aside from feeding and talking, she would also cuddle and sing to them. (Just like what mothers do to their babies.)
What about the plants in her garden? Well, they, too, are treated similarly, with Tender Loving Care.
That’s why the stray cats love to stay around, the pets growing healthy and secure, and the plants remain radiant and lovely.
Her upbringing and profession as a Pediatrician must have contributed so much to developing her character. I often heard her say, “My patients deserve to be healthy, loved, and cared for. Their future depends on how we look after them, and I am in the best position to help.” Her dedication, commitment, and sincerity are unequivocal. She treats all patients as her own children, doing everything possible to make them healthy and happy.
If she treats others like family, what more to her own kids? From the womb up to the present, she’s doing everything to ensure their well-being. Her hands-on nurturing brings out the best in our children, in spite of her excessively hectic work. They’ve grown up obedient, confident, smart, friendly, goal-oriented, kind, responsible, respectful, and Christ-centered. Just what every parent prayed for.
Thus, I’m a Happy Father 24/7.
