Our clinic has been affected by the floods in Mandalagan last July 11, 2025 and we have ongoing cleanup and damage assesment. The clinic might be still CLOSED on Wednesday,. Pahayag sa maling paniniwala ukol sa gatas bilang gamot sa tuberculosis

Sa gitna ng pagkalat ng maling impormasyon tungkol sa diumano'y bisa ng pag-inom ng gatas bilang lunas o proteksyon laban sa tuberculosis (TB), nais linawin ng Philippine College of Physicians (P*P) at ng Philippine College of Chest Physicians (PCCP) Council on Tuberculosis na ang TB ay isang sakit dulot ng bacteria na Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Naipapasa ito sa hangin kapag may ubo o bahing ang taong may TB.

Ang tamang gamutan para sa aktibong TB ay binubuo ng kombinasyon ng apat na pangunahing gamot: (isoniazid, rifampin, pyrazinamide at ethambutol) na kailangang inumin sa loob ng anim (6) na buwan. Bagamat natutulong ang gatas sa kalusugan ng buto, hindi ito sapat o pamalit sa gamot sa TB.

Kapag hindi agad ginamot ang TB, maari itong lumala, kumalat sa ibang bahagi ng katawan, makahawa sa iba, at maaring maging sanhi ng kamatayan.
