Bacolod Surgical Residency Training Consortium (BSRTC) A PSGS Accredited Consortium between Dr. Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital (Riverside Medical Center, Inc.) and The Doctors' Hospital, Incorporated

A team-up of two tertiary hospitals, namely, Dr. Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital (RMCI) and The Doctors' Hospital, Incorporated, with their respective Department of Surgeries to form one Surgical Training Program in the City of Bacolod, with one Training Committee and Staff. Please Submit your Applications to: Dr. Rafael L. Jocson, Chairman, through Dr. Andrea Joanne Torre, Training Officer. Please Include the following with your application: Medical School Diploma, Transcript of Records, Certificate of Post Graduate Internship, Medical Board Certificate with Board Rating, PRC licence.

We are still accepting applicants for first year!

WHY CHOOSE Bacolod Surgical Residency Training Consortium as your training program in General Surgery:

1. BSRTC is a fully accredited PSGS training program.

2. Base hospitals have built the reputation over 60 years of being the best in the healthcare industry in Negros Occidental.

3. Varied mix of cases, with the opportunity to be exposed to all subspecialty procedures within the General Surgery curriculum.

4. More cases per resident. Lesser number of residents allow trainees in the senior years to do more cases independently, to complete requirements for the diplomate board exams.

5. Residents attend at all major national surgical conferences,fully paid for with allowance during the duration of the conference. Senior residents attend ALL major conferences in preparation for the diplomate board exams.

6. Monthly allowance received in full. No deductions.

7. Free dormitory. No expenses for utilities. No power outages.

8. The Department of Surgery of the Consortium Hospitals have a closed department policy. Graduates of the Surgical Training Program are given privilege to practice while awaiting passing the diplomate exams. Once the graduate is a diplomate, no subspecialization is required to continue to practice general surgery. Graduates of other programs will only be given privilege to practice if they have completed subspecialty training.
