✨ Your health is your greatest investment. ✨

In the middle of busy schedules, sleepless nights, stress, and endless responsibilities, we often forget the most important thing — ourselves. Health is not just about avoiding disease; it is about having the strength to chase your dreams, the energy to spend time with the people you love, and the ability to truly enjoy life. 💚

Every small healthy choice matters.
🥗 Choosing nutritious food
🚶 Staying physically active
💧 Drinking enough water
😴 Getting enough sleep
🧘 Managing stress
❤️ Prioritizing regular check-ups

These simple habits can prevent chronic illnesses such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and stroke. A healthy lifestyle does not require perfection — only consistency and self-love.

Remember:
🌱 The body you take care of today will take care of you tomorrow.

Start small. Start today. Your future self will thank you. ✨

A simplified guide to the 2026 Childhood Immunization Schedule in the Philippines, based on the updated recommendations from the Philippine Pediatric Society (PPS), the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society of the Philippines (PIDSP), and the Philippine Foundation for Vaccination (PFV).

This schedule outlines the routinely recommended vaccines for infants, children, and adolescents according to age group to help provide protection against vaccine-preventable diseases.

It is important to remember that although many vaccines are available for FREE through health centers under the National Immunization Program (NIP), some recommended vaccines are only available in private clinics. Completing your child’s recommended vaccines on time gives them the best possible protection.

New research presented at the European Association of Preventive Cardiology congress found that extreme weather events significantly raise the risk of heart attacks and strokes, with data drawn from over 8 million residents of Eastern Poland tracked across a decade.

Analyzing more than 573,000 major cardiovascular events between 2011 and 2020, researchers found that heat waves triggered an immediate 7.5% spike in major cardiovascular events and a 9.5% jump in cardiovascular deaths on the day of occurrence, while cold waves produced a delayed but sustained risk increase of 4% to 5.9% in the days following exposure.

Air pollution compounded the danger, with roughly 13% of all cardiovascular deaths attributed to pollution — representing more than 71,000 years of life lost over the study period.

Contrary to traditional assumptions, the study found that women faced a 5% higher risk of cardiovascular events than men, and those under 65 faced a 9% higher risk than older adults.

Lead researcher Professor Lukasz Kuzma of the Medical University of Bialystok said the findings show that climate-driven extreme weather is no longer limited to traditionally vulnerable regions, calling for environmental factors to be incorporated into cardiovascular risk prediction tools.
