Just a reminder of the upcoming Community Potato Dig.
Location Willoughby Lane, Stevensville. More direction at the bottom and follow the signs.

Save the Date:

McPherson’s Annual Potato Dig Day
10am - 1 pm (Please no early birds as it makes our jobs with equipment etc more difficult)

Please join us in our annual community potato harvest. You are welcome to keep as many potatoes as you like for your winter storage, give to your neighbors or others in need. If you know of an organization or individuals who need potatoes please invite them. We have twice as large a crop as last year so please believe us we want you to come. All potatoes are free!

Please bring boxes, burlap sacks or paper sacks for your own. (They do not store well in plastic) We will have a truck set up in the field to put potatoes in for donation.

Picking advice
Green Potatoes--please do not put any potatoes that have green on them in the donation truck—they break down first and do not store.

Plan on weather—we will pick regardless of weather conditions.

Concession stand--We will be having a concession stand with hot chocolate and donuts, the proceeds going to next year’s expenses.

We will likely have winter squash and pumpkins for sale as well.

New Location!
About 1.3 miles up Willoughby Lane in Stevensville, turn SOUTH into a field. You will cross a cattle guard and be parking in an alfalfa field. We will be there to help direct you.

Secure your cell phones—they are hard to locate in a field of dirt.

Bring your kids—it is a great time.

Come even if you do not really need or want potatoes—this is fun and easy way to serve others. Besides everyone needs a few potatoes for the winter!

No dogs
Please leave dogs in your vehicles or at home.
