The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is not just promoting digital transformationโit is leading the charge toward a bold and measurable vision: 8 million digital jobs for Filipinos by 2028. ๐ต๐ญโจ
This vision came to life during the DICT Digital Careers Roadshow and Career Fair held at the Negros Oriental Convention Center, Dumaguete City โ a full-day event filled with opportunities, collaboration, and inspiration that brought together industry leaders, local officials, jobseekers, and aspiring digital professionals from across the region.
MedStar PHIM, a leading training provider in the country through its CEO/President, has affirmed the companyโs readiness to actively participate in the โฑ240 million national digital training initiative to equip Filipinos with in-demand skills and create over 8 million job opportunities across the country with the budget of Php 240 million- including inclusive opportunities for the people of the Negros Island Region under the leadership of Engโr Ramil Jeff Taboso as the DICT Regional Director.
This strategic initiative aims to bridge the urban-rural digital divide, support the growing demand for freelancing and virtual careers, and underscore the crucial role of local government units in establishing digital job hubs nationwide.
