🎈 Bubbles & Fans: More Than Just Play! 🎈

Blowing bubbles, whistles, or toy fans isn’t just fun—it can support important oral motor skills.

✨ What these activities really help with:
✔️ Improving breath control and awareness of airflow
✔️ Strengthening lip muscles and cheek stability
✔️ Practicing coordinated movements of the mouth

🚨 But here’s what science tells us:
Research shows that while blowing activities can help kids with oral awareness and breath support, they don’t automatically lead to clearer speech sounds. Speech clarity comes from practicing specific sounds in therapy guided by a certified Speech-Language Pathologist.

💡 So how can you use blowing play?
Blowing bubbles can be a part of a holistic therapy approach—especially for kids with low oral tone or challenges in coordinating breathing and speaking. But they work best when combined with direct speech exercises tailored to your child’s needs.

🌟 Medical Mission Recap: A Day of Care, Joy, and Community 🌟

Yesterday was a heartwarming reminder of why we do what we do. 💙 Kidoo Therapy Center joined the Medical Mission for Persons with Disabilities, bringing together over 100 amazing children and their families for a day of support and connection.

Our dedicated therapists, Teacher Gav and Teacher Nina, proudly represented Kidoo by offering their expertise and warm hearts to every child they met. From screening and sharing advice to simply cheering them on, their compassion shone through every moment. ✨

Thank you to the City Government of San Juan PDAO, Miss Possibilities Foundation, and all the collaborating schools and centers for making this event possible. It was truly inspiring to stand alongside so many professionals and advocates committed to uplifting our most vulnerable communities.
