Be Proactive

Qigong is one of the five basic healing modalities of TCM - Traditional Chinese Medicine: Herbology, Acupuncture, Tui-Na massage, Qigong, and Dietary.

We are practicing it as a proactive therapeutic exercise to maintain and improve our health. It is not an alternative to treatment but a complementary practice. When injury or illness occurs do not procrastinate in seeking medical intervention from licensed and qualified therapists and doctors.

The Three Brothers
A long time ago in ancient China, there lived three brothers who were all doctors. The youngest brother, Bian Que, was famous across the land. People said he could see through the body as if it were glass. Kings and nobles traveled great distances to seek his help.
One day, a powerful ruler asked Bian Que a simple question:
“Of the three of you, who is the most skilled doctor? ”Without hesitation, Bian Que replied:
“My eldest brother is the best.
My second brother is better than me.
I am the least skilled.”

The ruler was stunned. “But you are the one everyone knows. Your name is celebrated everywhere. How can you say you are the least skilled?”
Bian Que smiled gently and explained:
“My eldest brother treats illness before it even appears. He sees the imbalance long before it becomes a problem. Because his patients never become sick, no one realizes what he has done.
So his skill remains invisible.

He continued:
“My second brother treats illness the moment it begins. He notices the smallest signs and corrects them quickly.
People think he is good, but they do not see anything miraculous.”
Finally, he said:
“As for me, I treat illness only when it has fully taken hold. The sickness is dramatic, the cure is dramatic, and everyone sees what illness do. That is why I am famous — not because I am the best, but because I deal with the problems that can no longer be ignored.”
Bian Que bowed his head and finished:
“The greatest doctors prevent illness.
The lesser doctors treat what is already visible.”

Ang bone-setting therapy ay ang pag-aayos o pag-aalign ng mga 'misaligned' na buto sa ating katawan.
Nakakatulong ang pag-aayos o pag-aalign ng buto upang ma-release ang naiipit na ugat na sanhi ng iba't ibang pananakit ng katawan at iba pang karamdaman.
Kapag ang buto ay wala sa kanyang tamang posisyon, ito ay may tinatamaan na hindi niya dapat tamaan, o iniipit ang mga katabi nitong mga tissues at nerves. Kapag ang nerves o mga ugat ay naiipit, nagbibigay ito ng problema sa mga parte na dinadaluyan nito. Mga problemang tulad ng pananakit, pamamanhid at panghihina. Kadalasang nararamdaman natin ito sa leeg, balikat hanggang kamay, likod, balakang hanggang paa.
Napakahalagang maiayos ang mga buto upang masigurong walang naiipit o tinatamaan na di dapat tamaan at magkaroon ng maayos na daloy ng mga ugat. Kapag maayos ang daloy ng ating mga ugat, gagana rin ng maayos ang bawat parte ng ating katawan, walang mananakit, mamamanhid, manghihina at mas magiging malusog ang ating pangagatawan."
