Rainy season reminders: (for himalayan salt lamp lovers)
β
Do This Immediately:
β¦οΈTurn the Lamp ON
If itβs plugged in and safe to do so, keep it on. The gentle warmth will help evaporate any absorbed moisture.
β¦οΈMove It to a Dry Spot
Avoid windowsills or anywhere humid or breezy.
Place it in a room with low humidity, ideally away from bathrooms or kitchens.
β¦οΈPlace a Barrier Underneath
Use a ceramic plate, tray, or plastic mat to protect furniture from any βsweatingβ or leaking.
β¦οΈGently Pat Dry (If Damp)
If the lamp feels wet or is dripping, unplug it and use a dry microfiber cloth to gently dab it dry.
Never submerge or wash it with water.
β Avoid Doing:
πΈοΈDonβt leave it off for long periods in humid weather.
πΈοΈDonβt place it near open windows or in direct rain spray.
πΈοΈDonβt rub or scrub it harshlyβthe salt is delicate and can crumble.
πβοΈNOTE: If you're not using it right now and it's humid:
Wrap it in a plastic bag and store it in a dry, airtight place until the weather clears up.
