Yesterdayโ€™s general assembly ended with such a glamorous and remarkable feat. The curtains rose upon a new season of promiseโ€”the halls were transformed to fit in for our theme, brimming with the grace and grandeur of the Brigerton era. The air was then thick with the scent of soaring ambition, then was stirred with by a spirited ice breaker which eventually shook off the nerves of our lovely guests successfully.

Once the room was filled with warmth and laughter, our illustrious Dean, ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐‰๐จ๐ž๐ฅ ๐†. ๐Œ๐š๐ญ๐š๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ, took the stage with the poise of a seasoned host and commanded all the attention to introduce himself and unveiled the distinguished faculty members. This was then followed by the recognition of the ๐‹๐š๐›๐จ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐ƒ๐ฎ๐œ๐ž๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ for their commitment to leadership and service.

This January, we raise awareness about Schistosomiasis, a neglected tropical disease caused by parasitic worms that continues to affect millions of people worldwide, particularly in communities with limited access to clean water and proper sanitation. Often overlooked, this disease can lead to chronic illness, organ damage, and long-term health complications when left untreated.

Through education, prevention, and community participation, we can reduce the burden of schistosomiasis and protect vulnerable populations. With that, Mass Drug Administration (MDA) serves as a vital public health strategy in controlling transmission by providing safe and effective treatment to at-risk communities.

Let us stand together in spreading awareness and supporting initiatives that promote health equity and disease prevention. Awareness empowers communities, saves lives, and strengthens our collective responsibility toward public health.
