In celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month the Badian Primary Health Care Facility in partnership with Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (RAFI) will conduct our 4th Quarterly Women’s Health Caravan with our “Empower Health, Empower Women!”

Services Offered;

1. Free Cervical Screening (Pap Smear)
2. Self Breast Examination
3. Family Planning Counseling and Provision of Commodities (pills, condom, Injectables, IUD, and Implants) ; and
4. HIV Counseling and Testing

on October 16, 2025 (Thursday) at Badian Primary Health Care Facility.

Access to Services: Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies. A Capacity-Building Activity for the Barangay Health Workers (BHWs).

In celebration of Mental World Health Day this month of October, the Badian PHCF conducted the Capacity Building to our BHWs. This activity will strengthen our health workers in the community specially the BHWs in identifying patients with mental health issues and on how to provide psychosocial support for conditions like depression and anxiety in the community during disasters. They are also taught about the importance of preparing a Go bag in every household and what to prepare in case of any unforeseen calamities.

And in addition to that, the Badian PHCF also celebrated the Breast Cancer Awareness Awareness Month. We discussed about breast cancer and its signs and symptoms, and taught the BHWs the proper way of doing the Self Breast Examination.

Thank you to all the resource speakers and staff led by Anna Jane De Castro, Jomari Pulgo, Evelyn Ferolin, Maria Kristine Amarado, Kee Roseville Diosana, Jobel Caballero, and Mary Rose Therese Cabillon.

Congratulations to Badian Primary Health Care Facility Nurses and Midwives for successfully completed the 3-Day Training for The Philippine Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (PIMAM). They are now skilled and knowledgeable to effectively identify, treat, and monitor children with moderate (MAM) and severe acute malnutrition (SAM) to prevent childhood deaths and ensure timely, appropriate, rights-based nutrition services for children under five. We would like to Thank our resources speakers Dr. Micheal Lester M. Panogan, Dr. Jann Inno D. Babasa, Dr. Chierace L. Apolo and Mary Rose Therese Cabillon for sharing your valuable time and expertise during our PIMAM Training.

Congratulations to our very own Badian Primary Health Care Facility Pharmacy for having been granted a LICENSE TO OPERATE as a DRUG STORE by the Department of Health’s Food and Drug Administration! 👏🏻

This is a big step towards the accreditation for the PhilHealth GAMOT that can benefit all our PhilHealth members in Badian and even in neighboring municipalities to avail the 75 medicines listed in the said benefit package!
