University President Rev. Fr. Gilbert B. Sales, CICM, PhD, has officially announced the SLU Holiday Break, which will be from 20 December 2025, immediately after the Christmas Salu-Salo, until 04 January 2026.

This holiday break is intended to give the entire SLU community time for a joyful and well-deserved rest—an opportunity to celebrate the season with family and loved ones, reflect on the year that has passed, and return refreshed and renewed.

Office work will resume and enrollment will start on 05 January 2026.

May this break be filled with peace, gratitude, and meaningful moments. Happy holidays, Louisians!

𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀.𝐘. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕

On December 6, 2025, the Junior High Center for Counseling and Wellness spearheaded the conduct of the orientation on Junior High School Admission and the Junior High Qualifying Examination for the Academic Year 2026-2027. The orientation aimed to inform parents and guardians of the BEdS Grade 6 learners about the admission requirements, processes, and guidelines. The principal, assistant principal for academic affairs, high school registrar's staff, and Junior High CCW staff were present during the orientation.

Mr. Efren E. Campos, the Junior High Registrar Clerk, enumerated the requirements for the Junior High School application. Likewise, he presented a walkthrough of the online application site, emphasizing the need to complete it first before proceeding to the next step.

In addition, Mrs. Marion-Nicole A. Rodillas-Bernardino, the Junior High Guidance Counselor, explained the purpose of the Junior High Qualifying Examination and the details of administering the large-group testing for our Grade 6 learners.

Towards the end of the orientation, the queries and concerns of our Grade 6 parents and guardians were addressed and discussed.

From the Senior High Center for Counseling and Wellness, we would like to announce the Senior High winners for the 𝙏𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙣: 𝘼𝙧𝙩 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 held last September until October in celebration of the Mental Health Month 💚. On 28 November 2025, the High School Center for Counseling and Wellness joined the 114th Foundation Anniversary of Saint Louis University with the CCW Booth-ique. 🎉 Learners enjoyed fun games, explored pre-loved clothes and books, and most importantly, came together to support a meaningful cause.

1️⃣ Deadline of SLU-CEE Registration will be until tomorrow, December 5, 2025. Make sure to complete your registration before the deadline.

2️⃣ For students who took the exam last November 29 but have not yet completed their registration: You are required to finish your registration.

3️⃣ For students who were not able to take their scheduled exam last November 29: Make sure to attend the December 6, 2025 SLU-CEE.

4️⃣ Registration is mandatory. Your registration in the portal is where you will be able to view your exam results.

✅ Complete your registration on time to avoid delays in processing your permit/exam results.

Did you know World Hello Day (November 21st) was originally founded to urge world leaders to choose communication over conflict? It began in 1973 as a response to the war between Egypt and Israel. Two brothers, Brian and Michael McCormack, mailed 1,360 letters to encourage participation. Today, it's a global expression of peace celebrated in 180 countries.

While world leaders debate, we recognize that in this current era, 𝙖 𝙨𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚 '𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙤' 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙖 𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢 𝙤𝙛 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨. After a period of global isolation and distance, rebuilding connections is essential for our collective well-being.

The act of a warm greeting promotes healing by reminding us that we are seen, valued, and not alone.
