Did you know World Hello Day (November 21st) was originally founded to urge world leaders to choose communication over conflict? It began in 1973 as a response to the war between Egypt and Israel. Two brothers, Brian and Michael McCormack, mailed 1,360 letters to encourage participation. Today, it's a global expression of peace celebrated in 180 countries.
While world leaders debate, we recognize that in this current era, After a period of global isolation and distance, rebuilding connections is essential for our collective well-being.
The act of a warm greeting promotes healing by reminding us that we are seen, valued, and not alone. A simple word can start a dialogue for peace on the global stage, and it can also initiate a conversation for well-being within your own neighbourhood.
Take up the World Hello Day mission. Greet at least 10 people today! A simple 'hello' is the first word in a peaceful dialogue, and a powerful first step toward personal and community healing.
