Congratulations again to our very own Dra Mary Arsenia Ngaosi-Mondiguing for being one of Baguio's Outstanding Citizens of 2024

Dr. Mary Arsenia Ngaosi-Mondiguing
A Cordilleran and the current president of the Northwestern Luzon Society of Ophthalmology, is the founding President of the Baguio Eye laser Center Inc. (BELCI), the first and only private eye center in the cordilleras.

In 2005, she chartered the JCI Baguio Sunflower which was a “grand slam winner” as the Most Outstanding New Chapter of the Philippines (2006), Best New Chapter for the Asia-Pacific (2007) and the “Best New Chapter of the World” (2007), during the JCI World Congress held in Antalya, Turkey.

As a proactive citizen, Dr. Mondiguing spearheaded the “Hangin Ko , Buhay Mo” project during the COVID-19 pandemic that donated 100 50-pound oxygen tanks to the City of Baguio.
She was bestowed the Gantimpala Award in 2007 by the Civil Service Commission in recognition of her exceptional services and programs in the community on prevention of blindness.

Mondiguing was also a recipient of The Outstanding Filipino Physician for 2023, and the Gawad San Luis Presidential Award for Professional Excellence in 2024.

Her integrity, capability, and dedication to service going beyond expectations make her not only a commendable professional in her field but also an inspiring individual who positively impacts the lives of those around her.

The Baguio Eye Doctor's Clinic led by our very own Dr Ars Ngaosi-Mondiguing in cooperation withThe Philippine Academy of Ophthalmoly North Western Luzon Chapter and the Baguio JCI Sunflower conducted a Medical Mission at Poblacion Bokod Benguet March 24,2024.
-Diabetic Retinopathy Screening and Free Reading glass giving was done purposely to identify people with diabetes who are at higher risk of developing sight-threatening diabetic retinopathy so that early treatment or intervention can be offered to reduce the incidence of vision impairment or blindness.
