You ever plop anything in the oven and watch closely (maybe too closely) to make sure it's not too raw or too burnt? Cinnamon rolls are always my go-to brioche-test. I always know that my starter is ready to proof when my brioche dough rises in the fridge during cold proofing. It did not rise. It did proof solidly in the warm oven after filling and rolling and cutting with the light on. I guess I'll just have to keep feeding my baby Doughie.

Did y'all guys know that .mkitchenette is baking cookies also? The chonkiest of cookies, too!

I'm hesitant to taste cookies that are colored differently because they taste the same, but surprisingly these ones are flavored differently, exactly what they're meant to taste like! In the box are

- biscoff
-s'mores
- what i call cookie monster
- red velvet
-matcha
-and plain choco chip

It was hard to pick my favorite cause everything was good and well balanced. Perfect for staff gifts pang Christmas!

✨THE BEST BURGERS IN BAGUIO✨

It's pretty easy to construct a burger, but it's damn hard to sell a good, well-balanced one. Each ingredient has to shine individually and blended well together- a perfect example of how the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Worry not, burger lovers, is here to satisfy your cravings. From burger lovers to burger sellers, the owners of Gustavos tried their luck in Metro Manila's burger scene but found their home in Baguio City during the pandemic. Let's dissect the meal-

I've had Gustavos' burgers at the restaurant and delivered through (they're part of the Grab Food Signatures). The first thing that literally made me gasp was the cook on the meat. Everyone has their preferences but each of their patties are cooked at the perfect temperature- cooked through but also juicy and tasty, not dry and cardboardy. The ratio of the sandwich is also satisfying. Their buns are made by .ph , so rest assured they travel well and do nit fall apart when you have it delivered. I had the Broke da Mout (which Google says is a Hawaiian Creole English slang for 'incredibly delicious food'), which is their version of the Hawaiian burger, and my taste buds literal sang the song of burger gods, it was so good. Their fries were also crispy and firm, but they honestly don't travel well so I suggest you reheat them if you order online.

I also had the Charlie Chan pasta. Surprisingly, I had seconds. What else can I say. The strawberry soda pop complemented the food so well, I was a really happy diner by the end of it all.

is located in Lower Balacbac, which is pretty far from the city center, so blessed are the ones who have personal vehicles. They have parking! Also, like I said, they are on Grab Food. Nothing beats eating the thing at their shop but it's definitely worth the ordering online if you're short of time or can't go physically.

Ang tagal tagal ko nang kumakain sa Cafe Mary Grace, ngayon lang ako nakapag-post nang matino kasi nakaipon na ako ng ipopost 😂

CMG totally brings the tita vibes from the metro. It has a retro family Spanish-influence Filipino vibe and is a cafe you could take your mom/lola/tita/ kaMaritesan to. I admit, I couldn't really post abt CMG here because I thought it was too overrated and pricey, but I really can't deny the fact that their cakes are really good. I don't really have coffee here on the regular because their almond milk availability is shaky, nevertheless, it's still my choice of vibe at SM Baguio if I need some peace and quiet after a heavy week at work.

Pros:
- service is fast, even when the restaurant is packed
- Pastry-wise, so far, i've had their banana bella, mango bene, apple pie, sea salt caramel vanilla cake, and strawberry shortcake, and they're seriously good.
- food-wise, I've had their prosciutto and arugula pizza and I surprisingly finished the whole thing so it became my go-to pizza within SM Baguio. Also tried the seafood bianca (in the pictures) and it was good as well. I also had their prawn salad and chicken couscous, and albeit pricey, the proteins were cooked perfectly.

Cons
- expensive
- the drinks. Idk why but the drinks are not as good as food.

Okay yun lang. For the Filipino pastries, I hear a lot of people saying madaming mas masarap and mura, and for Baguio City's quality of baked goods, I think hindi talaga maiiwasan yan. CMG built its reputation on their ensaymadas though.

Korean Cream Cheese Garlic Bread

I craved for sushi and I was surprised to get a couple of cream cheese buns with my delivered orders!

It's Korean Weekend at and today they have seasonal offerings that will definitely indulge everyone's senses 🥰 I've had countless of Korean cream cheese buns before and most of them were kinda carboard-sy and needed to be heated up. Maxee's' tho is super fluffy and soft and super creamy and siksik, ang tinapay na hindi ko matantanan.

I hope you get to visit their spot in Irisan today! Bring a payong 🌂 and a jacket and enjoy your afternoon! Stay safe and full!

Hot/cold drinks point SM City Baguio

Hindi naman na ako nagkakape these days kaya matcha yung binili ko.

✨high grade matcha
✨hindi mapait (for me, lasang uji matcha, balanced yung timpla)
✨hindi masyadong matamis
✨ may plant milk sila (soy and oat)

₱190 yung binayad ko sa cold matcha with oatmilk. Ka-price lang ng tall pure matcha latte ng Starbucks, pero sa Starbucks add ₱60.00 pa with oatmilk kaya mas sulit bumili dito lalo na walang pila.

Long time no-post but dammmmnnnn this one is so so worth posting! Baguio strawberries covered in chocolate ganache and cream cheese wrapped in mochi is the ultimate way to treat your waifu (or the gender-neutral counterpart of waifu) this coming lover’s day! Honestly, don’t snooze on these drinks! Hindi malabnaw, cheap if you look at the price point and what you’re getting, and made with love. I’d review each 12/10 no joke and I’m listing them down according to preference kasi may favoritism tayo sa drinks:

1. Thai MT - ultimate favorite, legit lasang Thai MT, hindi yung natubigan na Filipino version
2. Matcha - the only matcha drink that I could never put down once I pick it up, also my gateway matcha food item
3. Orxata - FULL-BODIED iykwim
4. Yuzu cold brew - pangmalakasan, para sa mga madaling mainitan
5. Oriental Cold brew - very creamy, masarap siya
6. Tropical coco cooler - lasang biko, di ako mahilig sa biko 😅

Message niyo na so , you can request non-dairy milk alternatives like me para sa mga pa-30 na at lactose sensitive/intolerant ❤️Stay safe and full!

There is no doubt for people who have tried these flaky goodies that these are some of the best they’ve had.

I first found out about Rebel in the middle of the pandemic, when they themselves delivered their croissants (and burnt basque cheesecake). Look at them now with their new bakehouse and coffee shop!

What I appreciate most about their new home is that, although they introduced new items on the menu, they still honored their croissants as being the main characters. You can watch Donna make the croissants from start to finish if you want to 😂

Here are the things we tried on our visit(of course I tried all the flavors but here are the ones I recommend the most):
- coffee croissant- THE BEST 100/10
- pride matcha (no photo cause not available that day) - second best for me
- almond croissant - it has almond paste inside and it’s encrusted in almonds, like a crown
- ham and gruyere - savory staple
- kimchi rice with beef - second favorite kimchi rice EVER, and I’ve had a lot of them
DRINKS
- chai - legit, refreshing
- cereal milk - MUST TRY!
- flat white - you know when coffee tastes exactly what it should be? Yes, their fw is amazing

I know we’re not an MM page here, but let’s give credit where credit is due, and hope this café somehow finds its way to Baguio City!

We found this café one night while strolling around Poblacion and we didn’t hesitate to eat there. Since then, it has been a staple restaurant to visit whenever I go to Manila.

Café Fleur is a chic boho-style restaurant that is easy to miss but hard to forget. They open from 10AM to 11PM and it’s the perfect brunch spot for titas like me (yes, it’s 2023 soon, I accept my titahood), and dinner place for couples and small groups. I overheard that you can rent the place for parties and gatherings, too! It’s situated in the heart of Poblacion and it has a parking space and a second floor for functions. Here are the dishes we tried-

- mushroom ravioli: 9.5/10, pasta could be thinner but the sauce is to die for
- Thai inspired steak salad: 9.5/10, order the dressing on the side cause it tends to overwhelm
- sweet potato soup:10/10, ask for an extra pita bread! Not for the lactose intolerant tho
- salmon steak with sides: 9/10, well-cooked but was kinda basic
- lamb tagine: 9/10, order rice or bread to go with it, just hard to get around it because you get the whole shank on the table
- tomato risotto (forgot what it’s called): 10/10 tastes like spaghetti pomodoro but with rice and it’s bomb
- tiramisu: 10/10 ✨✨✨
- the flan cake: 7/10 I didn’t like it but my companion did, and they served it warm which i found weird and interesting
- the crab cakes i forgot to take photos of: also 10/10

The café is a bit pricy but the food is awesome! Make sure to check it out if you ever visit Makati.

It’s been so long, but I’m back with a worthy food offering to the instagram gods. Lime and Basil might be on the pricier side of things, but i’d choose this over other Thai restaurants in the are. Their flavors are so authentic and they don’t shy away from flavor AT ALL. We got the following-

*bagoong rice - 🌶🌶🌶, don’t mix the chili if you don’t like spicy food
*spring rolls - 9/10, enough appetizer for a family of 5, more than enough meal for one person. I’d murder the whole thing tho 🙃
* stir fried prawns with chili - 🌶🌶🌶🌶 i couldn’t eat it because it was tooo spicy. I didn’t ask if you could modify spice level tho, but the bite i had was flavorful. Spice guys, this is for u
*pomelo salad - my silver medalist, only because i love pomelo and they did it justice
* crispy pork red curry - 9/10! Soft and crispyyyy, giving it a 9 because-
* salted egg chicken - 10/10 all the way. Basta. Basta. Try it. Basta.
* mango sticky rice-honestly 6/10, I’ve had way way way better.
*Thai beef noodle soup - 7/10 clean-tasting but not enough flavor in the sabaw for me. Dami meatballs tho, and it’s enough soup for 4-5 people.

Lime and Basil is totally worth it! I hope they improve their mango sticky rice tho. Stay safe and full!

Torched Salmon Donburi and Gochujang Tuna Tartare

Got the opportunity to try Your Local’s famous salmon dish and it’s as good I remember it. It’s the perfect balance of every taste and every texture you could ever possibly dream of. It’s served on a bed of heirloom rice and topped with what I can assume as an aioli and some stuff I can’t identify. I got the tartare as a starter, and it, too, dis not disappoint. Is2g Your Local’s dishes can never be recreated.
