Lung Cancer Awareness Month is celebrated in November in the Philippines and around the world to raise awareness of the disease and encourage preventive measures.

Symptoms:
Lung cancer is known as the "silent killer" because symptoms are only visible when the disease is advanced. Symptoms include:
- Coughing that worsens or doesn't go away
- Chest pain
- Shortness of breath
- Wheezing
- Coughing up blood
- Feeling very tired all the time
- Weight loss with no known cause

Awareness:
Lung Cancer Awareness Month aims to raise awareness of lung cancer and the need for preventive measures.

History:
Lung Cancer Awareness Month began with Lung Cancer Awareness Day in 1995. As the lung cancer community and movement grew, awareness activities expanded and eventually became Lung Cancer Awareness Month.

During a typhoon, staying safe and taking the right actions can mean the difference between life and death. Typhoons can bring torrential rains, strong winds, and widespread flooding, making it crucial to remain vigilant and follow safety protocols.

While the government addresses underlying issues that exacerbate the effects of typhoons, individuals must take personal responsibility for their safety.

Stay safe and warm everyone! ☔️

For your guidance. Keep safe everyone!

Diabetes is a chronic (long-lasting) health condition that affects how your body turns food into energy.

Your body breaks down most of the food you eat into sugar (glucose) and releases it into your bloodstream. When your blood sugar goes up, it signals your pancreas to release insulin. Insulin acts like a key to let the blood sugar into your body’s cells for use as energy.

With diabetes, your body doesn’t make enough insulin or can’t use it as well as it should. When there isn’t enough insulin or cells stop responding to insulin, too much blood sugar stays in your bloodstream. Over time, that can cause serious health problems, such as heart disease, vision loss, and kidney disease.

There isn’t a cure yet for diabetes, but losing weight, eating healthy food, and being active can really help. Other things you can do to help:

- Take medicine as prescribed.
- Get diabetes self-management education and support.
- Make and keep health care appointments.
