Traditional and Indigenous healing systems represent a rich tapestry of knowledge, practices, and beliefs that have sustained communities for generations. These systems are holistic, addressing not only the physical ailments but also the spiritual, emotional, and social well-being of an individual.

In the Philippine context, Indigenous health is a complex interplay of rich traditional knowledge, persistent health disparities, and ongoing struggles for land rights and self-determination. While policies are in place to recognize and protect these systems, significant challenges remain in ensuring Indigenous peoples have equal access to healthcare and their cultural practices are respected and integrated into a more inclusive national health framework.
