Day 1
Channeling our celebration of our third anniversary through GGTC's The Wishing Well Program, our team was given the opportunity to connect with the community of Monamon through Monamon Proper Integrated School in Mountain Province last July 18, where we were able to share some care kits and school things needed by the children of the daycare, preschool, grade 1, and grade 2 classes. 🚌✏️📚📝🖍️

Seeing how their enthusiastic and very accommodating faculty set up their classrooms and prepared their lessons, we were humbled by how rich they were in terms of good naturedness, passion, and generosity. In this small school, teaching seemed to be a joy and peace that came from the spirit, which is so much more than some schools can be proud of. Looking at their classrooms, they seemed to have more than enough with the provisions of their school. And yet, it moved us so to see that the raincoats which came from our simple but thoughtfully chosen care kits were immediately used by the students since most of them had none, while others did not even have umbrellas and would wait the rain out. ☔️ ⛈️

If there was any takeaway in this experience, it was how beautifully humanity can come together and how we can influence children’s school participation by gathering resources to make a difference, because to each person, it matters. ☀️✨

This outreach project under the Empower Me Program would never have come together and materialized if not for the efforts of all these people who we are endlessly grateful for:

🧡Ms. Marimar Aligid & Mrs. Merith Bulaoy, community nurses

💙Ma’am Jenelyn S**i, school head of Monamon Proper Integrated School, and her faculty and staff

💜 Mrs. Charita Mencio, Sun Life Financiao Adviser for purchasing assistance

And for the following donors which enabled us to share and extend our blessings:

🧡Kandin Cois Gaspar
💙Sheilah San Diego
💜James Dalapus (BCPO)
🧡Maria Teresita Dado

Behind all of these preparations and ex*****on was God’s hand, which enabled us to push through despite torrential rains and other obstacles. We are extremely in awe that perhaps despite whatever storms may come our way, there is always someone looking out for us. 🥰

‘Til next time! 🌈

Sharing excerpts from the insightful reflection expressed by Ma’am Marilou Olban Papsa-ao, School Head of Bila Elementary School. This was lovely to hear from a representative of our target audience.

If this reaches you ma’am, we hope to meet and talk with you again as our conversation was cut short. ‘Til next time! ☺️🧡💙💜

Thank you for having us, Bauko! Congratulations to all of us on empowering ourselves. As mentioned in one of the lectures, if we know better, let’s do better. You now have the power to make the changes in your classrooms, in your schools, and in your community. Every choice is hard, so choose your hard. It may make a difference in one neurodivergent student, or many. May you use your knowledge well and pay it forward. 🧡💙💜

Day 2 - Part 2:
Offering the first of its kind as a multidisciplinary team, GGTC brought the ‘Empower Me Program: Opening Classroom Doors for Neurodivergence’ to Bauko, Mountain Province as its first out-of-center outreach seminar to educate and empower childhood educators on evidence-based and up-to-date strategies for neurotypical and neurodivergent students.

We have been blown away with the warmth and eagerness of educators in the Bauko municipality to learn about progressive and inclusive approaches for teaching in the classroom - something that is sometimes taken for granted. We give them credit for their enthusiasm and openness in welcoming us, intent listening, and active participation. We are honored to have helped guide them and add to the expertise that they have already demonstrated throughout their years of dedication to education.

GGTC is just a small and young center, but we are amazed at how far we have reached because of the efforts of people around us. We could not have pulled off this seminar successfully without the following people and teams:

🧡Mr. Philip T. Napaldet Jr., Public schools district Supervisor Bauko District 2 for coordination and communications

💙Mrs. Eufemia Balao, Public schools district Supervisor Bauko District 1 for coordination and communications

💜 Hon. Randy Awisan, Mayor of Bauko for the warm welcome

🧡Ms. Jonalyn Cammas and Bauko municipal General Service Office staff for the coordination and assistance durin preparations and aftercare

💙Mr. Julius Badecao as our energetic emcee

💜Ms. Donald S**i as volunteer assistant

🧡Mr. Rudee Dolipas Jr. and Ka Tea Ngao companies for our delicious food and catering

💙Mrs. Marilyn Badecao for our generous p**o snacks and coffee grounds

💜Mrs. Charita Mencio, Sun Life Financial Adviser, for providing all-around assistance

🧡 Ms. Joan Badecao for overall coordination and communications

💙 Ms. Genedad Damoslog for photography and documentation

💜Mr. Fernando Bagne & Johndy Badecao for transportation

🧡 Ivanture (Baguio Van For Hire)

💙And last but definitely not the least, our Good Samaritan teacher who sacrificed her extra footwear as she generously lent it to the speaker in need. We hope our deep appreciation reaches you

Thank you so much for all collaborative efforts. We are so appreciate and grateful! Above all, we thank the Lord for all His power and might in enabling this event to come together despite, and especially because of, the storm. None of this would be possible without His will, support, and help. We are indebted and in awe of His incredible orchestration. 🧡💙💜
