We in BENECO come with grief and deepest sorrow on the demise of our GM Gerardo Verzosa. It is heartbreaking to learn that he has already left us. We lost a mentor and a GM who has guided us for years to be strong, steadfast and resilient. His death is a great loss that leads us to remember vividly who he was, what his thoughts were, his vision and his kind of undaunted leadership.
All of us in BENECO condole with the GM’s family. We will forever cherish him as our mentor, leader and an unparalleled General Manager. We shed our tears for indeed, he came to us, taught us a lot and more importantly, touched our lives.
We love you, GM Gerry.

From the BENECO family.

TABUK CITY HALL: TEMPORARY LOCKDOWN
AUGUST 24-25, 2020

12/08/2020
09/08/2020

ADVISORY:

As of August 8, 2020, Baguio City has recorded 26 cases of senior citizens contracting the virus. The recent two deaths, both 65 male patients from Irisan and Engineer’s Hill were both senior citizens. Thus, we wish to gently remind our senior citizens to take extra precautionary measures in protecting themselves particularly when they go out on Sundays. Also, once errands have been completed, we encourage them to head home right away.

More importantly, as several of the recorded cases were asymptomatic, we appeal to the general public to exert more effort in protecting themselves and those they hold dear. Senior citizens and the immuno-compromised have a limited fighting chance against the virus. You, being young and healthy may be able to survive the virus. But the elderly do not.

The virus is no longer a thing to be toyed with. In order to fight the virus as one, we should not falter in keeping all safety measures in place.

Discipline saves lives. There’s a need to take responsibility over our family’s well-being. Ultimately our behavior will dictate the efficiency of mitigating the virus.

Sharing this advisory to our group. WARNING:

Data from contact tracing reveals that alcohol-drinking practices largely contributed to the emergence of positive cases.

The public is therefore warned to avoid sharing utensils and glasses while drinking.

Please practice responsible BEHAVIOR WHILE drinking. Increase in cluster cases in OTHER PARTS OF THE COUNTRY have shown that HEALTH STANDARDS AND protocols are deemed worthless when people let their guards down AND BECOME COMPLACENT.
