Named after the Kankanaey term for โ€œ๐™—๐™ก๐™ค๐™ค๐™ข๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œโ€ or โ€œ๐™—๐™ก๐™ค๐™จ๐™จ๐™ค๐™ข๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ,โ€ the ๐๐š๐ง๐š๐ ๐›๐ž๐ง๐ ๐š ๐…๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐š๐ฅ became a way to heal through the celebration of ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž, ๐ฏ๐ข๐›๐ซ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ฒ, and ๐ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ๐ญ๐ก. SLUโ€“Sacred Heart Medical Center is honored to host the PhilHealth Diagnosis-Related Groups (DRG) Shadow Billing Hospital Roadshow today, 11 February 2026.

The program formally opened with welcome remarks from Dr. Paul Adlai B. Quitiquit, Medical Center Chief, who underscored the importance of embracing innovation in healthcare financing, claims management, and data-driven systems, as well as the value of a strong and collaborative partnership with PhilHealth in advancing quality, accessible, and sustainable healthcare.

This engagement brings together SLU-SHMC leaders, PhilHealth UHC Surge Team, and PhilHealth Regional Office - Cordillera Region, and stakeholders to strengthen understanding of DRG implementation, promote accurate claims processing, and reinforce transparency and accountability in hospital billing systems.
