Grateful to have attended and presented my research in the SCOP International Convention, Research Congress, & 40th Founding Anniversary Celebration, with the theme "Leadership, Voice & Transformative Communication." 💚

Honored to share that my work was recognized as Top 2 – Best Research Abstract. 🙏🥰

Proud to represent the University of the Cordilleras, Baguio City (as an Assistant Professor) and Centro Escolar University, Manila (as a PhD in Counseling student).

This achievement reflects not just the study itself, but the purpose behind it.
Supervision is not only about skills, but about creating a space where individuals feel safe, understood, and connected. 🌿💚

Grief Series 3: Guilt in Grief 🌿

Grief is not just sadness,
sometimes, it comes with guilt.

“May nagawa pa ba ako?”
“Dapat ba mas naging present ako?”
“Bakit ganito yung nararamdaman ko?”

These thoughts can feel heavy,
but they are part of how we process loss. 🤍

Gentle reminder:
You did what you could
with what you knew at that time.

Guilt doesn’t always mean you did something wrong,
sometimes, it just means you cared deeply.

Be kind to yourself.
You deserve compassion, too.

Grief doesn’t stay the same.
It comes in waves.

Minsan okay ka,
then suddenly, something reminds you…
and the pain comes back.

That doesn’t mean you’re not healing.
It means you’re human. 🤍

Grief waves can be triggered by:
🤍 memories
🤍 places
🤍 dates or anniversaries
🤍 unexpected reminders

Some waves are small,
some feel overwhelming.

But here’s the truth:
The waves may come,
but you learn how to ride them.

Be patient with yourself.
Healing is not linear.

Grief is not just about losing someone,
it can also come from losing a relationship,
a version of your life, or the future you imagined.

It doesn’t follow a straight path.
Some days feel okay,
and some days feel heavy again.

Grief can look like:
🤍 sadness that comes in waves
🤍 feeling numb or empty
🤍 questioning “why” or “what if”
🤍 missing what once felt normal

There is no “right way” to grieve.
There is no timeline you need to follow.

You are allowed to feel it,
in your own way, in your own time. 🤍

Anxiety may not disappear instantly,
but you can learn how to manage it.

Coping doesn’t mean avoiding,
it means supporting yourself through it. 🤍

Try simple grounding strategies:
🌿 breathe slowly (inhale 4, exhale 6)
🌿 name 5 things you can see, 4 you can touch
🌿 step outside or change your environment
🌿 remind yourself: “This will pass.”

You don’t have to control everything,
just focus on what you can do in this moment.

Small steps can calm big feelings.

You are learning. You are coping.
And that already matters. 🤍

it’s often connected to something.

Triggers can be:
🤍 certain situations
🤍 past experiences
🤍 overwhelming environments
🤍 even your own thoughts

Minsan, hindi mo agad mapapansin,
pero your body reacts before your mind understands.

That’s why awareness matters.

Try to ask yourself:
✨ “What usually happens before I feel anxious?”

Understanding your triggers
helps you respond, not just react.

Anxiety is not just “overthinking” or “being dramatic.”
It’s your mind trying to protect you,
even when there’s no real danger.

It can feel like:
🤍 constant worry
🤍 racing thoughts
🤍 tight chest or fast heartbeat
🤍 difficulty relaxing

It’s exhausting, but it doesn’t mean you’re weak.

You’re responding to something that feels overwhelming.

Gentle reminder:
You don’t have to fight anxiety harshly.
Start with awareness.

Name it:
“This is anxiety. I am safe right now.”

One gentle step at a time. 💚
