Why BREASTFEED? .... Why NOT?

The Lactation Spa and Clinic of the North blossomed from the hearts of breastfeeding moms of Baguio and Benguet. The group of moms who started their breastfeeding advocacy in 2015 took a huge step in opening a safe haven for moms who need help in their breastfeeding journey. The Lactation Spa and Clinic of the North houses the breastfeeding peer counselors and lactation massage specialists who were trained from the the roots of Philippine Breastfeeding Advocacy since 1980s, the ARUGAAN Foundation, under Ma. Ines Fernandez. The Arugaan Breastfeeding Peer Counselors underwent a rigorous hands on training that focused not only in the physical aspect of the lactation massage, but gave as much importance to the psychological and emotional aspect of breastfeeding counseling.

You see, Breastfeeding is 90% psychological, and 10% physical. It is all in your mind and determination. Aside from that, having a support group for moms that just simply tells you that you can do it, proved to be the huge factor in a successful breastfeeding journey. Ultimately, The Lactation Spa and Clinic of the North, is a gift from God to mothers in Baguio, Benguet, and other areas in Northern Luzon. He has made our bodies beautifully and has given us the full capacity to breastfeed our babies. Like we always say, exhaust all options before saying you can’t. Because in GOD, all things are possible, and that we should remember: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil. 4:13.
