PLOGGING THROUGH THE RAIN

Today, we celebrated World No To***co Day with a plogging activity, Social and behavioral Change Communication,Oplan Baklas and Poster Making Contest🌂💚 Our LGU came together to promote a cleaner environment, expose to***co industry tactics, and advocate for a healthier community.

As we picked up cigarette butts and cleaned our streets, we also shed light on the industry's manipulative marketing strategies. 🧐💡 It was a powerful reminder that staying informed and united is key to building a to***co-free Bakun.

A big thank you to our participants & volunteers ,Municipal officials and employees,Barangay LGU's,Bakun MPS & Bakun BFP personnel, Barangay Health Workers and Barangay Nutrition Scholars for their dedication and enthusiasm. Together, we're taking steps towards a healthier, cleaner community, rain or shine!

Theme: We Remember, We Rise, We Lead

As we light our candles, we honor those we lost to AIDS, support those living with HIV, and stand united in raising awareness and ending the stigma.

HIV is preventable and manageable with proper care and treatment. Let’s spread love, not fear.

Break the stigma. Take action. Get tested. Know your status. Free HIV counselling, testing and condoms are available at our RHU — confidential and judgment-free.
Your health matters. Together, we can save lives.

Dr. Tayaban emphasized the essence of this year’s theme — We Remember those we lost, We Rise to support those living with HIV, and We Lead in spreading awareness and breaking the stigma.

During the solemn candle-lighting ceremony, Councilor Jesus and Dr. Tayaban led the way by lighting the first candles — a symbol of hope, remembrance, and collective action.

As we mark the 42nd International Candlelight Memorial, we come together in solidarity to honor the lives lost to HIV and AIDS, support those living with the virus, and renew our commitment to ending stigma and discrimination. In the endless journey of traversing a road that may seem dark, this month’s commemoration allows us to rekindle our hearts to illuminate the lives of those who have been greatly affected by the virus.

Under the theme "We Rise, We Remember, We Lead," we stand united in remembrance, resilience, and leadership—carrying forward the legacy of those who came before us and lighting the way toward a future free from HIV-related injustice and AIDS-related death.

In observance of this month’s special commemoration in the Cordillera Administrative Region:

“𝙒𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧” —the millions of lives lost, the battles fought, and the love that continues to guide our mission.

A Tribute to Our Beloved Colleague, Blessy Palowa-Dongkisi

Today, we remember and honor the life of our dear colleague and friend, Blessy Palowa-Dongkisi, whose passing has left a profound void in our hearts. She was more than just someone we worked alongside she was a person of great integrity, compassion, and quiet strength. Always ready to lend a hand or share a kind word not just as a workmate, but as a true friend. We will miss the sound of her laughter, the witty jokes she have and her wisdom.

As we mourn this loss, we also celebrate the life she lived and the memories we were privileged to create with her. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to her family and loved ones. May they find peace and strength in knowing how much she was cherished by all of us.
