Due to the heavy rains and severe flooding caused by the Habagat, we must stay alert and protect ourselves from the threat of 𝐋𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐬.

Leptospirosis is a bacterial infection you can get from 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐫 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐫𝐚𝐭 𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞. It often spreads during the rainy season and can cause symptoms like fever, muscle pain, vomiting, and in severe cases, even kidney damage or organ failure if left untreated.
