Did You Know? Stimming doesn’t really go away, and it’s not supposed to.

Stimming refers to repetitive movements, sounds, or behaviors that help individuals with autism regulate emotions and sensory input.

❌ Does it go away? No, because it’s not a behavior that needs to be “fixed.” It’s a form of self-regulation.
✅ Can it be managed? Yes! With the right support, strategies, and environment, stimming can be redirected or reduced when necessary.

🔹 Understanding stimming helps us create a supportive, accepting space where children feel safe to express themselves.
🔹 Therapy, sensory tools, and structured routines can help balance sensory needs while developing alternative coping mechanisms.
