The Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital (NVPH), headed by Chief of Hospital Dr. Arlene I. Jara, successfully conducted the YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan Program) Caravan at DPWH Nueva Vizcaya 2nd District Engineering Office headed by District Engineer Rosita A. Tinawin and with the collaboration of PhilHealth Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) of Solano headed by Ma. Georgina Asuncion, OIC, last November 24, 2025.

The primary goal of the YAKAP Caravan was to promote health awareness and provide accessible promotive and curative care to all DPWH Nueva Vizcaya 2nd District employees. It aims to encourage regular health check-ups, early detection of diseases, and the strengthening of preventive health practices among their workforce.

The YAKAP Caravan also served as an avenue for employees to update their PhilHealth registration, learn more about their benefits, and avail themselves of various health services conveniently offered by NVPH a YAKAP Accredited Facility.

The LHIO Solano team also provided YAKAP Orientation and Membership Services, including PhilHealth ID printing, updating of member records, and assistance with other PhilHealth-related concerns.

‼️”TRANGKASO BYE-BYE!” CAMPAIGN KONTRA FLU, INILUNSAD NG DOH‼️

Maghugas ng Kamay, Trangkaso Bye-Bye!
Magpahinga sa Bahay, Trangkaso Bye-Bye!
Kumain ng Prutas at Gulay, Trangkaso Bye-Bye!—ito ang mensahe ng DOH sa kampanya nitong “Trangkaso Bye-Bye” na inilunsad bilang bahagi ng tamang edukasyon sa pag-iwas sa trangkaso o flu.

Nauna nang inihayag ng DOH na bagamat walang outbreak, nasa flu-season pa rin ang bansa mula sa panahon ng tag-ulan nitong Hunyo hanggang sa kasalukuyang pagpapalit ng monsoon season papuntang Amihan.

Batay sa latest surveillance ng DOH, nakapagtala ng 6,457 kaso ng Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) mula Setyembre 28 hanggang Oktubre 11, 2025, na 25% mas mababa kumpara sa 8,628 kaso sa kaparehong panahon noong 2024.

Ang ILI ay isang matinding impeksyon sa paghinga na dulot ng mga virus tulad ng Influenza A at B, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), at Rhinovirus.

Sentro sa kampanyang Trankaso Bye-Bye! ang mga simpleng gawain para makaiwas sa pagkakasakit.

The “Hospital Safe from Disaster” Training was successfully held at the Isolation Facility of Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital on October 13–17, 2025.

Led by Dr. Armil P. Fragata, DRRM-H Manager of NVPH, the week-long activity strengthened the hospital’s preparedness, response, and recovery capacities during emergencies.

Facilitators Dr. Vergil Leo C. Esquivel, Dr. Merrill Hans S. Bayubay, Engr. Karl Michael L. San Pedro, Engr. Riza Joy N. Baggao, SO2 Leonard B. Lamorena, and Mark Jhonnel F. Simangan shared their expertise in hospital emergency management, mass casualty response, and DRRM.

The training was a vital step in promoting a culture of safety and resilience within NVPH.
