DOH: 48 SUGATAN DINALA SA JRRMMC MATAPOS ANG GULO SA MENDIOLA; 1 NASAWI, LAHAT SAKOP NG ZERO BALANCE BILLING

Umabot sa 48 katao ang dinala sa DOH-Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center (JRRMMC) matapos ang kaguluhan sa pagitan ng mga di pa kilalang elemento na sumabay sa kilos protesta, at kapulisan kahapon sa Recto, Manila.

Sa tala ng DOH-JRRMMC, 2 pulis ang nagtamo ng minor injuries (laceration at pasa sa katawan) at agad ding nakalabas matapos gamutin. Samantala, isang hindi pa nakikilalang lalaki naman ang kumpirmadong nasawi na idineklarang dead on arrival dahil sa tinamong saksak.

Mayroon ding 6 na iba pang pasyente ang nagtamo ng iba’t ibang sugat kabilang ang hiwa sa paa, eye trauma, head trauma, injury sa ugat ng kaliwang braso, gunshot wound, at matinding sugat sa braso. Apat sa kanila ay nakalabas na matapos gamutin, habang dalawa ang kasalukuyang naka-admit para sa karagdagang gamutan.

Bukod dito, 39 pang raliyista ang sumasailalim ngayon sa physical examination bilang bahagi ng proseso bago sila dalhin sa kulungan. Wala namang agarang panganib sa kanilang kalusugan.

“Tinitiyak ng DOH na sakop pa rin ng Zero Balance Billing ang mga pasyenteng ito, alinsunod sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. na tiyakin ang maagap at dekalidad na serbisyong medikal para sa lahat ng Pilipino,” ani Health Secretary Teodoro J. Herbosa.

⚠️ MAG-INGAT SA BANTA NG PAGKALUNOD DAHIL SA BAHA ⚠️

Inaasahan ang pagbaha sa ilang lugar sa Luzon, bunsod ng malawakang pag-ulan dala ng Super Typhoon Nando, ayon sa huling weather advisory ng PAGASA.

Pinaaalalahanan ng DOH ang publiko na mag-ingat sa pagkalunod, lalo na sa mga nakatira sa mga lugar na madaling bahain o malapit sa mga ilog.

Tignan ang flood advisory ng DOST-PAGASA para malaman ang lagay ng mga ilog at iba pang sangang-ilog sa inyong lugar.

Narito ang ilang paalala para maiwasan ang pagkalunod.

DOH: GENERICS NA GAMOT, LIGTAS AT MABISA KATULAD NG BRANDED

Abot-kaya ang generics na gamot. Epektibo at de-kalidad rin ito katulad ng mga gamot na branded.

Alinsunod sa Generics Act of 1988, paalala ng DOH:

✅ Dapat na may generic name ang gamot sa iyong reseta

✅ Dapat nakasulat nang malinaw at nakalagay sa itaas ng brand name ang generic name sa lahat ng labels, ads, at iba pang promotional materials

Tandaan: Kumuha lang ng mga gamot sa mga lihitimong health centers, klinika, at botika para makasigurong ligtas ang gamot na mabibili o makukuha.

Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital proudly welcomed nursing students from Saint Mary’s University, PLT College, and Aldersgate College for their clinical orientation.

Anchored on the theme “Ensuring Baby’s Health,” this two-day capacity-building activity aimed to enhance the competencies of healthcare providers in the early detection and timely intervention of rare congenital disorders—critical steps toward preventing long-term disability and saving lives.

This significant undertaking was made possible through the leadership of Dr. Maria Concepcion R. Magallanes, MD, MPA, FPOGS, Newborn Screening Chairman, in coordination with Mr. Vincent Guillermo Aluning, RN, NBS Coordinator, and the members of the Newborn Screening Committee.
