We successfully conducted the PuroKalusugan (PK) Orientation and Engagement Meeting with the Barangay Council of Daguitan, Banga, Aklan. This initiative aims to bring primary healthcare services closer to every household.

The Provincial Health Office of Aklan, in partnership with DOH Aklan, successfully conducted the Orientation on the 2025 LGU Health Scorecard and Program Updates attended by Municipal Health Officers (MHOs) and Public Health Nurses (PHNs) across the province.

The activity focused on the discussion of the 2025 LGU Health Scorecard tool, including reporting guidelines and submission timelines to the PHO. Program managers from the Provincial Health Office also provided important updates on the upcoming Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MRSIA) scheduled this August 2026, highlighting the SIA guidelines, reporting mechanisms, and mobilization funds. Additional updates covered regional directives and developments on Family Health Programs, Mental Health, Non-Communicable Diseases, Infectious Diseases, and other priority public health programsโ€”strengthening coordination and commitment towards improved healthcare delivery in Aklan.

The Provincial Health Office of Aklan successfully conducted a 5-day Basic Course Training for newly designated Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) across the province on April 20โ€“24, 2026, at Ati-Atihan Festival Hotel in Kalibo, Aklan.

The training was composed of interactive lectures and return demonstrations, equipping participants with practical knowledge and skills to effectively deliver nutrition services in their communities.

From promoting proper nutrition to supporting healthier families, these BNS are now ready to make a difference, one barangay at a time.

The Provincial Health Office conducted an ICT Development Plan Workshop on April 6โ€“10, 2026, at La Casa Espaรฑola.

The workshop brought together key stakeholders from municipalities and hospitals to review current ICT systems, identify gaps, and align on a shared vision with clear strategic priorities.

Participants worked collaboratively to identify priority ICT initiatives and develop a practical action plan with defined timelines and resource requirements.
