While treating my current patient, my other patient was having his consultation with our rehab doctor.

“Stroke yan?” My current patient asked.

“Ah opo Ma’am.”

“Malakas na siya no? Parang di nastroke.” She states while watching Sir R proceed with the doctor’s assessments.

“Pwede na!” I heard our doctor say.

Edi eto si Ma’am Irah niyo nagset-up ng ES ng patient niya.

Biglang nakita ko ’tong si Sir R walking towards me. Kahit may mask kita kong nakangiti siya.

“Graduate ka na?” My usual happy voice asked him.

He nods while showing his patient chart with “Discharged” na progress note from the doctor and raises his Stroke affected arm to give me a fist bump.

Nagfistbump ako tapos pumalakpak ng malakas, “Congrats sir!!”

He raised his arms in victory, “Thank you ha?”

“Ikaw pa ba, welcome Sir. Congrats sa graduation mo!!” I told him and waived goodbye.

He walked towards each of the Physical Therapists who treated him and thanked them one by one.

Eto yung isa sa purest moments ko today. 🥰 Thank you for fueling that feeling. ❤️

Our unvaccinated seniors are at most risk of hospitalization and death due to COVID-19.

Our challenge: We still have 3.4 million whom we need to urgently reach with life-saving COVID-19 vaccines.

Here’s how unvaccinated seniors are distributed across regions.
