🎬 Lights, Camera, Advocacy! 🎬

During our Adolescent Workshop “Tinig ng Kabataan, Lakas ng Kinabukasan Para sa Bagong Pilipinas”, students showcased their creativity, artistry, and passion for change in the Video-Making Competition on Preventing Teenage Pregnancy.

From scriptwriting to production, our young advocates poured their heart and skill into powerful short films that conveyed an urgent call to action: empowering adolescents to make informed decisions and prevent teenage pregnancy.

📸 Capturing Mental Health Through the Lens 📸

As part of our Adolescent Workshop “Tinig ng Kabataan, Lakas ng Kinabukasan Para sa Bagong Pilipinas”, our young participants showcased not only their creativity but also their advocacy through the Photography Competition on Mental Health.

Through powerful images, they relayed strong messages on the importance of caring for our mental health, reminding us that awareness, empathy, and support are essential in building a healthier, more compassionate community.

🎨✨ Digital Poster-Slogan Competition ✨🎨

As part of our Adolescent Workshop “Tinig ng Kabataan, Lakas ng Kinabukasan Para sa Bagong Pilipinas”, our youth showcased their creativity in promoting awareness on the dangers of va**ng and smoking among adolescents 🚭💨.

We are sharing here all the official entries , as well as the unofficial entries submitted by schools, so that everyone can appreciate the powerful messages and artistry of our young participants.

Dugo Mo ang Tinta ng Panibagong Buhay!

We are proud to share the success of the recently conducted Blood Donation Drive spearheaded by the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (LDRRMO) under the strong leadership of Sir Jerome O. Fabi, in collaboration with the Philippine Red Cross, represented by Ms. Nellie E. Edu, RMT, Board of Directors of the Philippine Red Cross – Ilocos Norte Chapter, and the Bangui DOH National Health Workforce Support System (NHWSS).

This initiative was made possible through the full support of Mayor Denton Lawrence M. Garvida, whose commitment to health and public service continues to inspire programs that safeguard the well-being of every Banguinian.

A total of 27 successful donors stepped up to help save lives, a true testament to the compassion and unity of the people of Bangui.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sir Jerome Fabi, whose vision and leadership made this event possible, and to the dedicated LDRRMO staff who ensured the smooth and safe conduct of the activity. Because of your hard work, we now have an additional supply of life-saving blood ready for our kababayans in times of need.

We are grateful to have concluded another successful Purokalusugan event, spearheaded by the DOH NHWSS Bangui, with the invaluable support of the Municipal Health Office. This time, we reached out to the residents of Purok Alao-ao, Barangay Payac, where we catered to 59 patients, providing free medications for both communicable and non-communicable diseases.

Our team covered all the puroks of Barangay Payac, ensuring that health services reached every corner of the community. In addition to the medical services, we conducted a lay forum on Leptospirosis, led by Ms. Mildred R. Jimenez, Nurse I (Social Mobilizer), and the newest member of the Bangui DOH NHWSS.

The event was honored by the presence of our very own SBM on Health, Hon. Myrna C. Garvida, MD. A former Development Management Officer IV of the Provincial Department of Health – Ilocos Norte, she knows firsthand the importance of the DOH’s efforts to reach the unreachable areas and deliver essential healthcare services to our kababayans.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Barangay Captain Michael Sallutal for his steadfast support in making this initiative possible. Together, we are committed to ensuring that every Banguinian has access to essential healthcare. As we continue this mission, we are guided by our tagline: "Sa Bagong Pilipinas, Bawat Buhay Mahalaga." We will strive to reach every corner of Bangui, ensuring that no one is left behind when it comes to health.

A Grateful Salute to a True Public Servant!

We celebrate not just the retirement of a leader, but the legacy of a man who dedicated his life to public service - Dr. Virgilio Mangapit, our very own Provincial Department of Health - Team Leader in Ilocos Norte.

You were more than just a supervisor but you were a guiding light to many of us serving on the ground. You reminded us that being part of the Department of Health - National Health Workforce Support System (NHWSS) is not just a job, but a calling , to serve the underserved, reach the farthest, and give our best shot, no matter how tough the road.

Sa bawat pagbisita ninyo sa aming mga bayan, sa bawat mensahe ng pag-asa, at sa bawat payo na nagbibigay lakas, dama po namin ang inyong malasakit hindi lang bilang lider, kundi bilang pangalawang ama namin. You showed us that this work is not about accolades or reports, but about real lives, real families, and real change.

🚨 DOH: ‘WAG GUMAMIT NG DOXYCYCLINE NANG WALANG RESETA🚨

Ang doxycycline ay isang antibiotic na ginagamit laban sa Leptospirosis.

Kapag mali ang pag-inom, pwedeng mawalan ito ng bisa laban sa mga mikrobyo at maging mas mahirap gamutin ang simpleng impeksyon. Pwede itong humantong sa matagal o mas matinding pagkakasakit.

Nakadepende ang pag-inom ng doxycycline sa exposure o risk level ng taong nalubog sa baha.

Payo ng DOH, magpatingin sa doktor para sa tamang reseta sa paggamit ng antibiotic na ito.
