In celebration of the Birthday of Dr. Ma. Eleanor Gigante, last May 1, 2026, the team from IslandLife Medical and Diagnostic Center conducted a Medical Mission at Hilantagan Island, providing free medical check-ups and “Tuli” services to the community. We were blessed to serve approximately 105 patients through Adult, Pediatric, and OB-GYN consultations, and 15 children benefited from the free tuli service. We also conducted free laboratory services for 75 patients for FBS, 25 patients for Cholesterol screening, and 25 patients for Blood Uric Acid testing.

Special thanks to the Hamoy Family for donating 60 pairs of slippers for both children and adults. To our dedicated Islandlife staff headed by Nurse Maricris de la fuente, to our student nurse; Althea Heruela and GM B. Quirol , thank you for volunteering and serving wholeheartedly. From the boat rides to the habal-habal rides going to the site, carrying boxes and supplies on our own, everyone showed commitment, compassion, and teamwork.💖
We also extend our gratitude to Mayor Ithamar for allowing us to conduct this medical mission on the island. Above all, we thank our Almighty God for His protection, for the beautiful weather, and for keeping everyone safe throughout the journey.
Indeed, this mission was filled with service, compassion, and blessings for the community.
