Dish Innovation Contest Highlights!

Held at the BTSDC Building, this exciting event is part of the Provincial Nutrition Month celebration!

Participants showcased their creativity using iron-fortified rice provided by DOST-PSTO, to craft nutritious and innovative meals.

These dishes are envisioned for DTI expos and school canteens promoting healthier food sa options for students and helping combat the rising number of malnourished children through balanced meals and snacks.

Special thanks to DTI for empowering our participants with a timely lecture on food safety practices because nutritious food should also be safe food!

“NUTRI- ALALAY
TULONG SA MAGULANG, SUSTANSYA SA ANAK”

A learning session was held at the PPDO Training Room to empower mothers of malnourished children with practical knowledge on Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF), smart meal planning, and age-appropriate complementary feeding. The goal: to build healthier habits at home and boost their children’s nutrition.

To further support this effort, DOST-FNRI provided nutrient-packed meals and snacks for the children from July 10 to 31. With the help of dedicated Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), these nutritious goodies reached the kids who needed them most fueling both their bodies and brighter futures.
