Mula ngayong buwan ng Agosto, kasabay ng sight saving month, binubuksan po ng BGH ang sarili nitong bagong online appointment system. Gawa ng ating mga magagaling na IT specialist sa hospital, layunin nito na iimprove ang Sistema sa OPD sa pamamagitan ng isang maayos, convenient at epektibong Sistema ng pagsschedule. Sisimulan muna ang online appointment system sa seksyon ng ophthalmology bago palawakin sa ibang specialty.

Kung nais magpasilip sa mata, hinihikayat namin kayong mag pa online appointment, para masiguro ang inyong schedule sa araw ng kunsulta.

HOW ARE SORE EYES TREATED?

Treatment depends on the type of sore eyes you have. Sore eyes can be caused by a virus, bacteria or allergies. There is no specific treatment for viral conjunctivitis, as your immune system will fight the virus on its own. You may place a cool, wet washcloth over your eyes to ease the discomfort. Your ophthalmologist may prescribe antibiotic eye drops for bacterial conjunctivitis. For allergic conjunctivitis, your ophthalmologist may recommend certain eye drops or ointment.

Talk to your eye doctor for more information.

WAYS TO PREVENT GLAUCOMA

If you’re at high risk, get a comprehensive dilated eye exam to catch glaucoma early and start treatment. Even if you’re not at high risk, get a comprehensive dilated eye exam by age 40. Prescription eye drops can stop glaucoma from progressing. Your ophthalmologist will recommend how often to return for follow-up exams. Maintain a healthy weight. Control your blood pressure. Be physically active. Avoid smoking. Consult your ophthalmologist for more information.

Ang March ay Glaucoma awareness month.

Ang glaucoma ay sinasabing "thief in the night" dahil hindi nararamdaman ang sintomas at paglala ng paningin. Karamihan sa nagpapatingin kadalasan ay malala na ang kundisyon at may permanenteng sira na sa kanilang mata.

In observance of Glaucoma awareness month, bukas po at inaanyayahan ang publiko para magpasilip ng inyong mata. May schedule po tayo ngayong March 5=-8 and March 13-16 mula 10 to 12 ng umaga para sa mga nais magpa glaucoma screening.

Dalawa po ang ating specialista sa hospital. Si Dr. Diciano na may schedule mula March 4 hanggang 15 at tumatanggap po ng walk ins.

Dr Antolin ay naka schedule naman march 17-24. Ineencourage po na magpa appointment para maiwasan ang mashadong mahabang paghihintay sa ospital.

Maraming dahilan ng paglalabo ng mata. Tingnan ang iba't ibang klase ng labo sa depende sa sakit ng mata.

Ugaliing magpsalip upang malaman ang problema sa inyong paningin.

FYI: Tinatangal ang katarata sa operasyong tinatawag na phacoemulsification. Sa prosesong ito, gumagamit tayo ng isang kumplikadong makina o phaco machine, para durugin at higupin ang katarata. Dahil maliit ang mata, kailangan din ng eye surgeon ang isang microscope para magopera.

Ang ating ospital ay mayroong kumpletong makina at mga trained specialists para sa mga pasyenteng nangangailangan ng ganitong serbisyo.
