The Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center (MMMH&MC) has received a report that a certain Gm. Francis Fernandez with contact number 09551248435 is using the name of our Medical Center Chief, Dr. Maria Lourdes K. Otayza, to solicit funds from suppliers.

We would like to emphasize that Dr. Otayza has neither solicited nor authorized any solicitations in any form and for any purpose. Any calls, e-mails, or messages purportedly sent by the MCC or any of her staff cannot be genuine or authorized by MMMH&MC.

MMMH&MC advises the public to report these fraudulent activities to the appropriate law enforcement agencies.

Happened today, March 18, 2026

1st batch of the training on food preservation and food plating technique for hospital meals with garnishing was successfully conducted today among half of NDD staff composed of cooks, food service workers and dietitians.

Resource Speakers were from the College of Agriculture, Food and Sustainable Development of Mariano Marcos State University and from the College of Industrial Technology respectively. Participants were taught how to prepare tomato juice, sauce, jam and vegetable sausage which the NDD can prepare in cases of oversupply of seasonal vegetables for ingredients in the kitchen.

How to present foods to patients to be more appetizing was also emphasized in the afternoon session and garnishing thru fruit carving was incorporated. Return demonstration was done by the participants afterwards.
