Ano ang Meningococcemia B strain?

Ang Meningococcemia ay isang malubhang impeksiyon sa dugo na dulot ng bacteria na tinatawag na Neisseria meningitidis. Isa sa mga uri ng bacteria na ito ay ang serogroup B, o tinatawag ding B strain.

Paano ito nahahawa?
• Maaaring maipasa sa pamamagitan ng laway, hal. sa pag-ubo, pagbahin, halikan, o paggamit ng parehong kubyertos o baso.
• Karaniwang kumakalat sa mga taong magkakalapit o nasa iisang bahay, dormitoryo, o paaralan.

Ano ang sintomas?

Sa simula, parang trangkaso lang:
• Lagnat
• Sakit ng ulo
• Pananakit ng katawan
• Pagsusuka
• Pagsusungit o pagkalito (lalo na sa bata)

Pero mabilis itong lumala. Maaaring magkaroon ng:
• Pantal na parang pasa
• Hirap sa paghinga
• Pagbagsak ng presyon ng dugo
• Pamamaga ng utak (meningitis)
• Kamatayan kung hindi maagapan

Paano ito maiiwasan?

• Bakuna laban sa Meningococcemia B strain (MenB vaccine) – ito ang pinakamabisang paraan.

Latest reporting from the CDC shows this year’s flu season is the deadliest non-pandemic flu season for U.S. children. 216 children have died. This number passed last year’s flu season, which set a previous high for a non-pandemic season with 207 pediatric deaths. Ano ang Meningococcemia at Paano Makakaiwas Mula Dito?

Ang meningococcemia ay impeksyon sa dugo mula sa bacteria na Neisseria meningitidis. Ito ay nakakahawa lalo na kung malapit o nakikisalamuha ka sa taong may sakit na ito. Pwede itong makuha mula sa mga droplets mula sa pagbahing o pag-ubo ng isang taong may sakit nito.Seryoso ang sakit na ito at nakakamatay.

Para makaiwas sa meningococcemia, Kailangan magpabakuna laban sa mga strains na ACWY at B! Sumangguni sa pinakamalapit nyo na Pediatrician👩🏻‍⚕️
