The Local Unit of Batad - Batad Primary Care Facility/ Rural Health Unit in partnership with RED CROSS will conduct a 𝐁𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐓𝐘 scheduled on AUGUST 12, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 (TUESDAY ), 𝟳:𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗠 - 𝗼𝗻𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀, 𝗮𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗱 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝘆𝗺𝗻𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺.

Interested blood donors are encouraged to take note of the following reminders before donating blood:
1. Have enough rest and sleep;
2. No alcohol or medicine intake 24 hours prior to donating blood;
3. Eat a healthy meal before donating blood (avoid fatty food); and
4. Drink plenty of fluids (water and juice).

💧 Waterborne diseases – mula sa maruming tubig
🤒 Influenza-like illnesses – trangkaso / lagnat, ubo, sakit ng katawan
🐀 Leptospirosis – galing sa ihi ng daga na nasa baha
🦟 Dengue – dala ng kagat ng Aedes aegypti na namamahay sa naipong tubig

Joint Local Health Board and Municipal Nutrition Council Meeting was conducted earlier today.

Agenda tackled:
1. Standard Minimum Precaution for Monkey Pox Virus (MPox)
2. Municipal Disease Surveillance Update
3. Nutritional Status Update
4. Purok Kalusugan Program
5. Other Matters

The 2nd Quarter meeting was well presented by the 24 Punong Barangay/SBM Officials, Academe, NGAs/ NGOs, DILG, PNP, BNS and BHW Pres, Department Heads and CSOs, with the Presiding Officer, Hon. Elvira P. Alarcon.

Mr. John Raymund Babano, DMO IV from the DOH-WV presented on MPox Prevention and Response in Workplaces and High-Risk Commercial Establishments.

It was presented too, the roles and functions of different stakeholders, its support and coordination down at barangay level.
