When a pacifier habit continues beyond the age of two, it can begin to reshape how the jaws and teeth grow. The constant sucking pressure changes the balance between tongue, lips, and muscles — gradually pushing teeth and bones out of their natural alignment.

Over time, this can cause what dentists call an open bite — when the front teeth don’t meet even when the mouth is closed. It can also narrow the upper jaw, make teeth protrude, and affect the way a child swallows or speaks.

These changes don’t happen overnight. They develop silently, while the pacifier seems harmless on the surface. But once the jaw and bite adapt to this prolonged pressure, correcting it often requires orthodontic treatment later in life.

Pediatric dentists recommend weaning off the pacifier by 18–24 months to allow natural oral muscle balance and healthy jaw growth. Early awareness can prevent long-term dental complications and support normal speech and facial development.

🔹 Uri ng Dental Practice
Bawat clinic ay may sariling sistema at focus ng practice—may general dentistry, may cosmetic, ortho, surgical, at iba pa. Kaya natural na magkaiba rin ang pricing nila base sa kanilang specialization.

🔹 Gamit na Materials at Makinarya
May mga clinic na gumagamit ng high-end machines tulad ng digital scanners, 3D printers, laser tools, at digital X-rays. Mas advanced ang technology = mas efficient ang procedure, pero mas mataas din ang cost ng operasyon.

🔹 Expertise at Training ng Dentista
Hindi lahat ng dentista ay pare-pareho ng pinagdaanan. May mga nag-specialize pa after board exam—nag-training ng ilang taon, nag-aral abroad, o pumasok sa hospital settings para mas lalong maging dalubhasa sa specific na treatment tulad ng Surgery, Orthodontics, Cosmetics, at Endodontics.

Ang renta at cost of operations ay malaking factor din. Clinics located sa malls o prime city locations ay may mas mataas na operational expenses, na maaaring makaapekto sa kanilang dental fees.
