❕DOH: PANATILIHIN ANG KALINISAN SA MGA PAARALAN PARA MAIWASAN ANG HAWAHAN NG SAKIT, GAYA NG HAND FOOT AND MOUTH DISEASE❕

Sa pagpapatuloy ng klase sa mga paaralan, paalala ng DOH na panatilihin ang kalinisan sa katawan at paligid, lalo na sa mga silid-aralan at lugar kung saan namamalagi ang mga bata.

Kahit pababa ang trend ng bilang ng mga kaso ng Hand Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) mula Mayo 18-31, 2025 (1,964 cases) papuntang Hunyo 1-14, 2025 (1,363 cases), hindi dapat maging kampante dahil mabilis itong makahawa kung hindi mag-iingat.

Ang isang batang may HFMD ay maaaring makahawa ng higit sa 2 na ibang bata, at maari pa itong dumami kapag nasa closed spaces gaya ng bahay at eskwelahan.

🖐👣 Ang mga kadalasang sintomas ng HFMD ay:
📌 lagnat
📌 singaw sa bibig
📌 sakit sa lalamunan
📌 mga butlig sa palad, talampakan, o puwit

❗️Makaiiwas sa HFMD sa pamamagitan ng:

✅Paghuhugas ng kamay gamit ang sabon at malinis na tubig, o paggamit ng alcohol-based sanitizer
✅Pag-iwas sa paghawak sa mukha, lalo na sa mata, ilong, at bibig
✅Pagpapanatili ng kalinisan at pagdisinfect ng mga kagamitan

BUKOD SA LEPTOSPIROSIS, MGA BATANG NAGLALARO SA BAHA PWEDENG MAGKA-ASCARIASIS DALA NG MGA BULATE!

❗️BUKOD SA LEPTOSPIROSIS, MGA BATANG NAGLALARO SA BAHA PWEDENG MAGKA-ASCARIASIS DALA NG MGA BULATE❗️

Babala ng DOH, hindi lang Leptospirosis ang maaaring makuha sa baha, kundi ang mga Soil-transmitted Helminths (STH) infections, tulad ng Ascariasis, Trichuriasis, at Ancylostomiasis. Madalas na tinatamaan ng mga STH ay ang mga batang hindi nagpapurga.

Ayon sa datos ng DOH noong 2024, 57% pa lang ng batang 1-4 years old ang nagpapurga sa kabila ng libreng Deworming tablets na binibigay sa mga health center.

Ilan sa mga sintomas ng STH infections ang:
✔️Pananakit ng tiyan
✔️Pagtatae
✔️Panghihina
✔️Rectal prolapse (Paglabas ng laman ng pwet)
✔️Mabagal na paglaki ng katawan at isipan ng bata

Paalala ng DOH sa mga magulang, huwag hayaang maglaro sa baha ang mga bata at gawin ang W.O.R.M.S para maiwasan ang impeksyon na dala ng mga bulate! 🪱

❗️FILARIASIS — ISA PANG SAKIT NA DALA NG LAMOK NGAYONG TAG-ULAN ❗️

💡 Bukod sa Aedes aegypti na nagdadala ng dengue, mabilis ding dumadami sa panahon ng tag-ulan ang mga lamok gaya ng Aedes spp., Anopheles spp., at Mansonia spp. na nagdadala ng Filariasis.

Ang lymphatic filariasis ay sakit na dulot ng mga microscopic na bulate na naipapasa mula sa kagat ng lamok. Kapag napabayaan, maaari itong magdulot ng kapansanan dahil sa permanenteng pamamaga ng iba’t ibang bahagi ng katawan.

Mga paraan para maiwasan ang Filariasis:

✅Gawin ang taob, taktak, tuyo, takip sa mga lalagyan para walang pamahayan ang lamok;

✅Magsuot ng pantalon at damit na may long sleeves; at

✅Gumamit ng mosquito repellent pag lalabas, at ng kulambo sa pagtulog

📍 Sa tulong ng mass drug administration, nakakamit ng mga probinsya ang Filariasis-free status.

Day 4: WINS Hand washing OkD- One Health Week Celebration 2025 ❤️🩵💚

Promoting Handwashing for Health and Hygiene at TPIHS

As part of the OK sa DepEd program, Talahib Pandayan Integrated High School conducted a Handwashing Activity to emphasize the importance of proper hygiene among students. Learners were guided on the correct steps of handwashing, reinforcing health practices that help prevent the spread of germs and illnesses. This initiative supports the school's ongoing efforts under the WASH in Schools (WinS) program, ensuring that every Talahibian is healthy, clean, and ready to learn.

City Health Officials Assess TPIHS Clinic, Canteen, and Sanitation Compliance
July 8, 2025. In a continued effort to uphold health and safety standards in schools, City Health officials one representative visited Talahib Pandayan Integrated High School to assess its clinic, canteen, classroom medical kits, and overall sanitation. The visit aimed to ensure that the school environment remains safe, clean, and conducive to learning for all students and teachers. 90% rating was given. The School continue to maintain and follow things which will mostly benefit our students.

In a strong push to educate and empower young people, the Adolescent Reproductive Health (ARH) Awareness Talk was tackled to promote responsible decision-making, self-care, and informed choices among students. The ARH Awareness Talk, highlights the importance of reproductive health education in guiding adolescents through the challenges of puberty, relationships, and personal well-being.

Day 2: Mental Health - Wellness Tuesday

Talahib Pandayan Integrated High School actively supports the OK sa DepEd initiative by promoting both physical and mental well-being among its students and teachers. As part of Mental Health Awareness, the school held a vibrant Tuesday Zumba Wellness session, encouraging movement and energy to uplift spirits. This was followed by an Orientation on Mental Health Awareness, aiming to educate the school community about the importance of mental wellness, recognizing signs of stress, and seeking proper support. It was a meaningful start to building a healthier and more resilient learning environment at TPIHS.
