On March 18, 2025, the General Assembly and Orientation of Service Area Leaders was held with the goal of strengthening leadership, enhancing knowledge, and fostering preparedness within the BATMC community. This event served as a platform for leaders to deepen their understanding of their roles and responsibilities, while also addressing crucial topics that contribute to the hospital’s resilience in times of disaster.

A diverse range of essential topics were discussed, including the Basic Incident Command System (ICS), Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Management, Updates on Reemerging and Emerging Diseases, Hospital Safe from Disasters, Hospital Safety Index, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in Health (DRRMH) Plan, Contingency Planning, Public Service Continuity Plan, Mass Casualty Management (MCM) Protocol, Earthquake Protocol, and Fire Protocol. Each topic played a key role in equipping service area leaders with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively respond to emergencies and ensure continuity of care during crises.

Beyond knowledge-sharing, the assembly reinforced the importance of strong leadership, collaboration, and proactive disaster preparedness. It served as a powerful reminder that resilience is built not only through policies and plans but through unified efforts, coordination, and commitment. With empowered leaders at the forefront, BATMC is better positioned to uphold its mission of providing uninterrupted, quality healthcare services even in the face of adversity.
