I’D RATHER HIRE ATTITUDE OVER EXPERIENCE - HERE’S WHY
This might challenge a lot of people, but I’ll say it plainly: Give me someone with zero experience but the right attitude over someone highly experienced with a toxic mindset - ANY DAY.
Why? Because I’ve seen it over and over again:
✔️ Skills can be taught.
✔️ Systems can be trained.
✔️ Experience can be built.
But a bad attitude? That’s a deal-breaker. Here’s what I’ve learned:
1. Attitude drives performance more than experience ever will. A positive, teachable person will always outgrow a skilled but entitled one.
2. Culture is fragile, protect it. One toxic person can undo months of progress and drain an entire team’s morale.
3. Experience without humility is a liability. Some experienced hires come in thinking they know it all. They resist feedback, ignore collaboration, and kill innovation.
4. A great attitude fuels loyalty. Grateful, growth-oriented people stay longer, work harder, and elevate everyone around them.
So no, I’m not hiring for just a résumé.
I’m hiring for mindset.
✔️ For humility.
✔️ For hunger.
✔️ For heart.
Because the truth is:
✔️ A person with the right attitude can learn anything.
✔️ A person with the wrong attitude will fight everything.
Let’s stop being blinded by experience alone.
Hire for culture. Hire for growth. Hire for attitude.
