Healing in Hues: Dr. Gina Flores Molina’s Artistic Celebration of Compassion
The newest exhibit, “Healing in Hues” by Dr. Gina Flores Molina, is a striking celebration of art and advocacy. Held at Solana Heirloom Café in Batangas City and ongoing indefinitely, the collection features vibrant artworks that seamlessly blend science, medicine, and deep emotion. The exhibit officially opened during the artist’s reception on September 8, 2025, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in a unique fusion of creativity and compassion.
Dr. Gina, a dentist and artist, created these pieces using unconventional materials like plaster of Paris, inspired by her desire to share healing beyond physical treatments. Her collection sparks heartfelt reactions—from students eager to spread her message of hope, to medical professionals inspired by the deep connection between art and health. Visitors were captivated by the colorful artwork within the cozy setting of a café and clinic, which offered a rare and meaningful experience.
One standout piece, “Love Beyond Measure,” a Mother and Child painting, had a humorous yet profound backstory—initially unintentional in its spooky appearance, it later transformed into a powerful symbol of hope and resilience. The collective feedback highlights that Healing in Hues is more than an art exhibit; it’s a movement celebrating gratitude, community, and the transformative power of compassion through art.
This milestone moment not only validates Dr. Gina’s journey as an artist but also encourages Filipinos to see art as a vital language of healing and societal impact.
