🌍 Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Project Implementation Survey in BatMC BatStateU BUCAS Center 🌍

Today, the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) visited the BUCAS Center as part of their project implementation survey to provide support in strengthening healthcare services for the community.

We were also honored to welcome representatives from the Department of Health (DOH) and the City Health Office of Batangas City, who joined the visit to show their continued partnership and commitment to advancing quality and accessible healthcare.

🩺 Health Teaching at BUCAS Center 🩺

Last August 19, 2025, the Health Education and Promotion Office (HEPO), led by Ms. Joana Calayan and Ms. Harriet Palon, conducted a health teaching session at the BUCAS Center.

The discussion focused on Leptospirosis and Dengue—two pressing public health concerns, especially during the rainy season.
✅ Causes and symptoms were explained
✅ Preventive measures were emphasized
✅ Early treatment and community awareness were highlighted

This initiative aims to empower the community with knowledge to help protect themselves and their families from these diseases.

💡 Together, through awareness and preventive action, we can reduce the risks of Leptospirosis and Dengue in our community.

✅ Ayon sa World Health Organization, mas mainam kung may pagitan na hindi bababa sa dalawang taon ang bawat pagbubuntis para sa kalusugan ni baby at ni mommy.

🏥 Kumonsulta sa healthcare worker para ibat’ibang uri ng family planning method.

We are deeply thankful to all organizations and agencies who continue to share their time, effort, and expertise to help us improve healthcare services especially BUCAS Center.

The BatMC BatStateU Bagong Urgent Care and Ambulatory Service (BUCAS) underwent a comprehensive formative assessment led by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

This initiative assessed our operations, capacity, and services to further enhance urgent and ambulatory care for the community. With the help of our partners, we continue to strengthen accessibility, responsiveness, and quality of healthcare for all.
