During my third year in medical school, we were taught of 'Alternative Medicine", based on holistic approach where a body should be healed from within as a whole. This therapeutic method, also known as "Eastern Method", includes the likes of acupuncture, acupressure, ayurvedic, chiropractor, and herbal medicines, which have been practiced for centuries. So when INTRA was introduced to us in 1999, with its 23-botanical extracts, I was receptive and had my mother take it. In taking the product, the high blood pressure of my mother normalized. However, at that time, I did not bother to try the product, because am not fond of taking medicines, particularly herbals, since most leave a bad taste. What convinced me to try INTRA later-on was my desire to have a child. Ironically, I had polycystic ovarian disease which can cause irregular menstruation. In my case, I only had my menstrual period twice a year. Unfortunately, I could not take hormones because I develop chest pain. My sister Peng (aka GMD Ofelia Mendoza) pushed me to try INTRA.
