Automatic and involuntary, it's easy to take the breath for granted. Not so in Ashtanga. In the practice, the breath serves as an anchor to keep body and mind one and centered, a tool to lengthen and build heat internally, and a release to bring the practioner to a state of calm. Ultimately, it is a gateway that brings us clarity each time we practice in the hope that we get to understand ourselves a little bit more each time we find ourselves on the mat. Om, shanti.🙏🪷💜
