Today, our dedicated Quality Improvement Officer (Officer-in-charge), Jovelle B. Lacbayan, successfully presented the Management Review of the 1st Quarter of 2025 to the esteemed members of the Management Committee. This comprehensive review captured not only our accomplishments and milestones from the past quarter but also provided a clear analysis of areas for development and innovation as we move forward.

The session served as an opportunity to reflect on the progress we made last quarter—highlighting initiatives that worked, identifying key learnings, and reinforcing our shared commitment to continuous improvement.

The Internal Quality Audit (IQA) Committee together with some of the Training and Education Committee members successfully participated in the Effective Internal Quality Audit Report Writing Workshop last 14 March 2025, further strengthening their commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Facilitated by the Quality Improvement Officer, Mae Ann Grace Estabillo, with the esteemed lecturers Dr. Ame Lopez, Arlene Gumayagay, Julius Del Rosario, and Patrick Toledo, the session provided valuable insights and best practices in crafting precise, comprehensive, and actionable audit reports.

This initiative reinforces the importance of clear and effective audit documentation in maintaining compliance and driving quality excellence. Kudos to our participants for their dedication to refining their skills and upholding high standards in internal auditing! 👏

𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁! 📈

The Risk Management Committee (RM Committee) successfully conducted its Strategic Planning Session at the PGS Office last 11 March 2025. This session was facilitated by the Quality Improvement Officer, Mae Ann Grace Estabillo. The said session was designed to refine risk management strategies, strengthen leadership structures, and align initiatives with ISO 7101:2023 compliance.

Key discussions included leadership appointments within the committee, goal-setting strategies, and the implementation of risk assessment tools such as the Risk Register and Risk Matrix. The team also worked on refining the committee’s newly crafted Mission and Vision statements, which emphasize a commitment to quality management, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Furthermore, members agreed on a structured calendar of activities, including the crafting and implementation of risk management tools, pilot cascading in selected areas, and targeted cascading for all departments. These initiatives aim to enhance risk awareness, streamline processes, and reinforce patient safety policies across the institution.

This session marks a significant milestone in strengthening the committee’s commitment to proactive risk management and quality improvement. Thank you to all members for your valuable insights and dedication!

𝗘𝗙𝗠𝗦 𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗦 𝗗𝗢𝗖𝗨𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧 𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟! 📈

On 13 March 2025, the Engineering and Facilities Management Section (EFMS) participated in the Documentation Workshop at the Esteves Hall facilitated by the Quality Improvement Unit, along with its sub-committees—the Documents and Records Control Committee and the Training and Education Committee. The said workshop aimed to enhance documentation practices within EFMS.

During the session, EFMS staff worked on completing their Narrative/Method, Process Flowchart, and Process Definition, ensuring standardized and efficient workflows.

By the end of the workshop, EFMS staff gained valuable insights into effective documentation practices, reinforcing the importance of structured workflows and record-keeping. This initiative marks another step toward continuous improvement and operational excellence within the section.

𝗗𝗥𝗖𝗖 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 🗂️

The Documents and Records Control Committee (DRCC) successfully conducted its 1st Quarterly Meeting last 5-7 March 2025, reinforcing its commitment to efficient document management and team collaboration.

On its first day, a meeting started with a Performance Review and QMS Document Status, ensuring alignment with QMS standards. To strengthen teamwork and engagement, a team-building session and Recognition program were led by QIU Staff, Mae Ann Estabillo and JC Ron Gabriel Aiser Jo James, with preparations organized by DRCC Team Leader Jovelle Lacbayan.

On March 6-7th, it was focused on the continuation of QMS documentation, a meticulous and essential process in ensuring compliance with quality standards. The said committee worked diligently to refine and update documents, reinforcing the integrity and accuracy of the organization’s documentation system.

Kudos to the DRCC team for their dedication to upholding quality and efficiency in document control! 👏

𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀! 🏆

The Workplace Organization Committee has officially launched its first Walkthrough Activity of the year, scheduled last 24-28 February 2025, reaffirming the committee’s commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.

The activity began with an Opening Meeting presided by Quality Improvement Officer, Mae Ann Grace Estabillo, ensuring alignment on key objectives. Also, a brief recap of last year’s strategic planning was presented to guide this year’s initiatives.

Throughout the walkthrough, committee members conducted a thorough inspection of all areas of R2TMC, identifying workplaces for improvement and best practices.

To conclude the walkthrough, the committee conducted a Closing Meeting for the presentation of findings facilitated by JC Ron Gabriel Aiser Jo James, Workplace Point Person. Additionally, a “Recharge and Reignite” Program (R&R) was also held which is a team-building initiative designed to recognize and appreciate the hard work of all members while providing an opportunity for them to recharge and strengthen collaboration.
