Ano ang Obesity?
• Ang obesity (labis na katabaan) ay sobrang bigat ng katawan kumpara sa taas at edad.
• Madalas sinusukat gamit ang Body Mass Index (BMI).

Paano naaapektuhan ng obesity ang kidneys?
1. Sobra ang trabaho ng kidneys
• Dahil sa bigat ng katawan, napipilitang mag-“overwork” ang kidneys, na puwedeng magdulot ng pagkapagod at pagkasira ng mga ito sa paglipas ng panahon.
2. Dulot ng mataas na blood pressure at diabetes
• Madalas kasama ng obesity ang hypertension at diabetes, na parehong nakakasira ng kidneys.
3. Protein sa ihi (proteinuria)
• Senyales na nahihirapan na ang kidneys.
4. Bato sa bato (kidney stones)
• Mas mataas ang tsansa magkaroon ng uric acid at oxalate stones ang mga obese.
5. Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
• Unti-unting nasisira ang kidneys, na maaaring humantong sa dialysis kung hindi maagapan.

Paano maiiwasan?

✅ Pagbawas ng timbang – simpleng paglalakad araw-araw, tamang diet, iwas softdrinks at matatamis.
✅ Kontrolin ang blood sugar at BP – regular na check-up at pag-inom ng gamot kung kailangan.
✅ Magpa-laboratory test – urinalysis, creatinine, at kidney function test para mamonitor ang kidneys.
✅ Uminom ng sapat na tubig (maliban kung may medical advice na bawasan).
✅ Iwasan ang sobrang alat at matatabang pagkain.

Heavenly Father,
As we enter this new month of September, we come before You with grateful hearts. We thank You for the gift of life, for the chance to serve, and for the trust of our patients who come to Ramos Adult Health Care Clinic seeking comfort and healing.

We pray for our patients, Lord—may they experience Your healing touch, find acceptance in their struggles, and discover hope and peace. May every treatment given, every word spoken, and every act of care be guided by Your wisdom and compassion.

We pray for us, the staff and workers of the clinic, that You may bless us with strength, patience, and dedication. May we always serve with kindness and compassion, becoming instruments of Your love.

Through the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the sick, and Santo Niño, source of innocence, joy, and trust, we ask for Your protection, safety, and abundant blessings. Pour out upon us and our families the gifts of good health, guidance, peace of mind, and good fortune, so that we may continue to provide for one another and live with gratitude and joy.

We humbly ask that more patients may be led to our clinic, and that all who enter may leave with healing, satisfaction, and comfort. May Ramos Adult Health Care Clinic always be a place of care, compassion, and hope—bringing honor and glory to Your name.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the gift of a new month.
Thank You for the blessings You have already given us—our life, our family, our work, and the people we care for.
We thank You in advance for all the good things You are still preparing for us.

This August, we humbly ask You:

🙏 Bless our family with good health, unity, and peace.
Keep us safe from sickness, accidents, and all harm.
Help us to always support one another with love and kindness.

🙏 Bless our clinic—Ramos Adult Health Care Clinic.
We pray for strength, wisdom, and compassion for every staff member.
